What is the pricing model for World Scientific eBooks?
World Scientific eBooks are sold in collections, and on a title by title basis. There is no minimum on the number of books purchased. In general our eBooks are priced 30% above the listed hardcover price due to features that allow for higher usage as a result of simultaneous access.

Discounts are available based on amount spent:

US$2000 - US$10000: 10% discount

Above US$10,000: 20% discount

A library or institution will get online access to purchased content through www.worldscientific.com. Archiving options are available. Platform fees apply.

What happens if a new edition of an eBook comes out?
New eBook editions are treated as new purchases. Just like a print version with a new edition, libraries need to purchase these separately.

How will a library patron access World Scientific eBooks?
All World Scientific eBooks are in PDF format and accessible through www.worldscientific.com. Users need to have Adobe Reader (freely available from www.adobe.com) installed and an active internet connection. Our IP-linked system will detect the titles a library/institution has purchased and enable access to these titles automatically within the IP range provided. MARC records are provided for titles published. We support multiple concurrent access, and our files are DRM-free.

Are chapter sales available?
Yes, for individual purchase only. This feature is not available for libraries.

Can more than one patron access the same copy of eBook?
Yes. The system supports concurrent access to the same content within an institution.
