7: Cyclic Voltammetry: Coupled Homogeneous Kinetics and Adsorption

      https://doi.org/10.1142/9781786345271_0007Cited by:0 (Source: Crossref)
      Abstract:

Previous chapters have introduced the voltammetric study of simple electrode processes of the form

      A(aq)+eB(aq),
where both A and B are chemically stable on the timescale of the experiment. In this chapter, we start by considering the influence of the possible chemical instability of B on the observed voltammetry and show how cyclic voltammetry can be used to study the reaction kinetics and mechanism of electro-generated species. We conclude the chapter by saying a little about voltammetry of adsorbed species.
