    Abstract:

The predicted O(4) scaling at the chiral phase transition in the case of two degenerate quark flavors is investigated by an analysis of lattice QCD data. The data are unambiguosly normalized using the observed scaling along the so-called pseudocritical line, and compared to the universal scaling function obtained from simulations of the 3d O(4) model. We find significantly better agreement for larger quark masses.
