MEMORY EFFECTS IN ATOMIC INTERFEROMETRY: A NEGATIVE RESULT

    Abstract:

    We investigate the possibility of the existence of a memory time inside the measurement device and obtain from experimental data an upper bound on this time, by looking at the distribution of time delays between successive detections performed inside an atomic interferometer.
