    Abstract:

A circle of light has been observed experimentally. With the increase of the distance between the incident point and the wall, different pattern and interference structure can also appear on the circle of light under proper conditions. Using the theory of geometrical and wave optics, we give an explanation to figure out the formation of the circle and its structures. Besides, some discussions on the calculations of the intensity distribution have been made under different circumstances.
