Banquet Speech at the Singapore Conference in Honour of Murray Gell-Mann on His 80th Birthday

It was about 60 years ago in 1951 that I first met in Princeton, at the Institute for Advanced Study, our Honoree tonight, Murray Gell-Mann. In the intervening 60 years, man's understanding of the fundamental structure of matter has made great historic advances. At this wonderful Conference, we have the opportunity to review some of these historic advances. It is a little like looking over an old album of memorable photographs in one's lifetime.
