Abstract:

In this chapter we study the 21-year love story between Laura, a beautiful but married lady, and Francesco Petrarch a famous Italian poet of the XIV century (see Figure 13.1). Their relationship is described in the “Canzoniere,” one of the most celebrated collection of love poems in the Western world. She is strongly insecure; he is secure but with a reaction to appeal inhibited by his poetic inspiration, described by the equation used in the previous chapter.
