    This paper presents the elastic deformation and thermodynamic theory for crystals with HCP structure on the basis of the statistical moment method (SMM) together with numerical results and discussions for metals Mg, Zn, Dy, Er and Gd. Some numerical results are compared with experiments and other calculations.
