      Abstract:

      This chapter discusses continuum scale physical and chemical storage processes relevant to Geologic Carbon Sequestration. We introduce methods to estimate storage capacity and potential environmental impacts of carbon sequestration, and discuss monitoring approaches to avoid and mitigate those impacts.
