    Abstract:

    Tariq Ramadan

Our primary purpose here at the research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics is to address Muslims and Muslim societies, not to address the West. The West has arrived at principles of biomedical ethics, and we as Muslims living in Muslim countries are in need of a set of universal biomedical ethics produced from an Islamic framework. This is helpful in understanding our goals during this seminar.
