HAROLD W. KROTO

Sir Harold W. Kroto (b. 1939 in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, U.K.) is Royal Society Research Professor at the School of Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science of the University of Sussex in Falmer, Brighton, East Sussex, U.K. He shared the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1996 with Robert F. Curl and Richard E. Smalley, both of Rice University in Houston, Texas, “for their discovery of fullerenes.”…
