    Abstract:

Ubiquitous computing aims at pursuing naturalness, harmony and adaptation. We think that ”semantic” is the key aspect in co-operations and communications of people, devices and smart devices. This paper presents a semantic context model for an adaptive middleware. We emphasize on the fusion of semantic context information in smart vehicle space for ubiquitous computing. Semantic web technology and web ontology language are used to build the ontology of the smart vehicle space. In addition, we propose an application scenario and a prototype system. The contribution is twofold. First, we present the architecture of semantic context model. Seconde, we have built the ontology of smart vehicle space, with which we make context fusion and inference for middleware adaptation.
