A HOLOGRAPHIC DUAL OF LARGE-Nc QCD

Abstract:
A holographic dual of Nf-flavour large-Nc QCD is constructed by placing Nf D6-brane probes in the background of Nc D4-branes. For Nf = 1 it exhibits spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking and the corresponding massless pseudoscalar in the spectrum. A holographic version of the Vafa-Witten theorem is presented. The U(1)A chiral anomaly and the associated η′ physics are discussed.
