Abstract:
A real Lie algebra L is a real vector space together with a bilinear map
[ , ] : L × L → L
called the Lie bracket, such that the following identities hold for all a, b, c ∈ L [a, a] = 0
and the so-called Jacobi identity [a, [b, c]] + [c, [a, b]] + [b, [c, a]] = 0.
