Abstract:

Muscle contraction is the mechanical event, triggered by an electrical pulse, which in the end produces useful force, be it to lift a weight or to push a burst of blood forward. Basic laws, principles, and concepts govern such mechanical activity and they are revisited attempting to offer better mathematical background.
