I was pleased to accept the responsibility of writing the biography of Professor M.S. Swaminathan FRS, the first Laureate of the World Food Prize and internationally acclaimed crusader of a ‘Zero Hunger’ world, with humility in my heart and a feeling of inadequacy to do a befitting job.
