      Abstract:

      In this chapter we consider the two-sided Sylvester equation

      mk=1A1kXA2k=C(1m<),
      where Alk are nl × nl matrices (k = 1, …, m; l = 1, 2), and C is an n1 × n2-matrix. We obtain solution estimates for that equation and explore perturbations of solutions. The obtained solution estimates enable to derive the bound for the distance between invariant subspaces of two matrices…
