EURECA: THE FUTURE EUROPEAN CRYOGENIC DARK MATTER SEARCH

EURECA (European Underground Rare Event Calorimeter Array) is a one-tonne cryogenic dark matter experiment, aiming to search for WIMP interactions with a scattering cross-section down to 10⁻¹⁰pb. It will use cryogenic detector technology developed by the CRESST and EDELWEISS groups, and a selection of different target materials.
