Modeling and Simulation of Powertrain and Control Strategy for a Series-Parallel Hybrid Electric Bus
To research the development of hybrid powertrain and control strategy, the simulation model including its core components is established for a new type of series-parallel hybrid electric vehicle system; and the fuzzy logic control strategy is developed using the fuzzy control method, which is embedded into the vehicle model to achieve simulation analysis. The result demonstrates that the vehicle model can satisfy the requirements of speed and acceleration performance under the simulation conditions, and the fuzzy logic control strategy can allocate the power between engine and the traction motor reasonably according to the working condition , and the fuel economy is improved by 11.02% compared with the control strategy with motor assist, which proves the accuracy and efficiency of the simulation model and control strategy.
