CHARACTERISTICS OF SINGLE INTRINSIC JOSEPHSON JUNCTION

A single intrinsic Josephson junction has been observed in a Bi2.3Pb0.1Sr2CaCu2O8 mesa structure. The isothermal voltage-current curves with hysteresis were measured from 5K to 65.09K. The critical current of the junction is almost a constant while the return current depends on the temperature. The temperature dependence of jumping voltage spacing deviates strongly from the BCS one. The temperature dependence of McCumber parameter βc is shown.
