Pion polarizabilities: Theory vs Experiment

    https://doi.org/10.1142/S2010194515601040Cited by:3 (Source: Crossref)

The values of charged pion polarizabilities obtained in the framework of chiral perturbation theory at the level of two-loop accuracy are compared with the experimental result recently reported by COMPASS Collaboration. It is found that calculated value for the dipole polarizabilities (αβ)π±=(5.7±1.0)×104fm3 fits quite well the experimental result (αβ)π±=(4.0±1.2stat±1.4syst)×104fm3.
