Review of Smart City Governance since 2000

Artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and 5G are doomed to have great impact on urban life services. Smart city governance has become the common goal of global cities. A new concept of smart city has emerged with the development of the world. The effective governance of smart city can improve the efficiencies of cities. Based on a number of influential publications, this paper explores the status quo and trends of smart city development. Through the reception, analysis and integration of information, we will make a scientific, convenient and accurate response to the demands of public’s life. Based on the existing research on the construction of smart cities, some suggestions are proposed for the development of smart cities, to serve as a reference for governance and a basis for future research.
