Bronchial asthma is a common, respiratory disease related to allergy. The clinical symptoms include: break-out of dry cough, mostly accompanied with breathing difficulties, and a wheezing sound in exhalation. The etiology of asthma is complicated and it is often taken as a multigenic hereditary disease, affected by genetic and environmental factors. As the pathogenesis of asthma is complicated, the number of ways with which asthma is treated might not achieve satisfactory results. Acupuncture is good alternative treatment. Acupuncture might influence the autonomic system directly or might work through a series of humoral modulations which help to control inflammation and bronchial spasm.
