A nilpotency criterion for derivations over reduced $ℚ$ -algebras

Preview Abstract
Let $A$ be a reduced ring containing $ℚ$ and let $ξ_{1}, ξ_{2}$ be commuting locally nilpotent derivations of $A$ . In this paper, we give an algorithm to decide the local nilpotency of derivations of the form $ξ = a_{1} ξ_{1} + a_{2} ξ_{2}$ , where $a_{1}, a_{2}$ are elements in $A$ .
