The integration of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and the Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing network design by enabling highly adaptable and configurable systems that surpass the constraints of traditional hardware. When integrated with IoT and expanded to edge and fog computing paradigms, SDN promotes architectures for intelligent, real-time management of large-scale, heterogeneous networks. There are numerous potential applications for these integrated architectures. From automating corporate operations and improving healthcare services to offering enhanced business intelligence, the combination of SDN, IoT, and fog computing offers the way to disruptive ideas. Despite these opportunities, privacy, security, dependability, interoperability, and management remain key challenges.
AI-powered solutions are a feasible approach to address these difficulties. These designs use machine learning, deep learning, and other AI technologies to achieve adaptive decision-making, efficient resource allocation, and increased network performance. AI-driven SDN-IoT architectures integrated with edge and fog computing enable intelligent decision making, facilitating real-time data processing, and improving network efficiency. These technologies improve scalability, resource allocation, and security in future-ready networks. However, numerous unresolved issues remain, such as maintaining privacy and security in dynamic and diverse settings. Furthermore, the development of novel AI models and the guarantee of seamless interoperability across various IoT devices remain significant challenges.
We are delighted to announce the special topic " AI-Driven SDN-IoT Architectures with Advanced Edge and Fog Computing Integration for Future-Ready Networks," and cordially encourage experts, scholars, and researchers in related fields to participate.
