Prof. C.M. Wang is the Transport and Main Roads Chair Professor in the School of Civil Engineering, University of Queensland, Australia. He is a Chartered Structural Engineer, a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Singapore, and a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers. His research interests are in the areas of structural stability, vibration, optimization, plated structures, Mega-Floats and nanostructures. He has published over 400 journal papers, co-edited 4 books: Analysis and Design of Plated Structures: Stability and Dynamics: Volumes 1 and 2, Very Large Floating Structures and Large Floating Structures and co-authored 5 books: Vibration of Mindlin Plates, Shear Deformable Beams and Plates: Relationships with Classical Solutions; Exact Solutions for Buckling of Structural Members; Structural Vibration: Exact Solutions for Strings, Membranes, Beams and Plates; Carbon Nanotubes and Nanosensors. He is an Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics and an Editorial Board Member of Engineering Structures, International Journal of Applied Mechanics, Structures and Ocean Systems Engineering.
