The fundamentals of computer architecture and digital systems

cover-10940 Digital systems are at the heart of every key system in today's information society. Designing such systems is a critical skill in very high demand. Three professors of a leading engineering school teamed up to write an accessible, yet complete, introduction to computer architecture.

Computer Architecture: Digital Circuits to Microprocessors takes the reader from the basics of digital systems to advanced computer architectures, never losing the connection with important hardware and software issues. The book provides a hands-on approach to the design of digital systems, central processing units and microprocessors, for students specialising in electrical engineering, computer science, aerospace engineering and communications engineering. A set of tools that can be used together with the book, including an assembler and a simulator for the P3, the small processor that is developed in the book, has been made available for readers.

Computer Architecture: Digital Circuits to Microprocessors retails for US$178 / £157 (hardback). To know more about the book visit /worldscibooks/10.1142/10940.
