About the Author
Wenhong ZHANG heads the Shanghai COVID-19 Medical Treatment Expert Team. Having been engaged in front-line clinical work for a long time, Professor Zhang has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of emerging serious infectious diseases. He participated in the prevention, control and patient treatment of SARS in 2003 and Influenza A virus subtype H7N9 in 2013.
Under his leadership, the Department of Infectious Diseases of Huashan Hospital of Fudan University has topped the National Hospital Department Ranking List (prepared by Fudan University) for nine consecutive years.
His affiliations include:

- Vice Chairman of the Infectious Diseases Prevention and Control Branch of China Preventive Medicine Association
- Chairman of the Infectious Diseases Branch of Shanghai Medical Association
