The current status of the determinations of the CKM elements V_ub, and V_cb is reviewed and future prospects are discussed.

Many new results on charm physics were obtained recently. We review of the experimental status in charm and charmonium decay, production and spectroscopy, together with the theoretical interpretations and the open questions.

New results on rare decays of B mesons and τ leptons are summarised. Measurement are generally in excellent agreement with the Standard Model predictions, the only exceptions being the polarisation of vector particles in B decays and the non-appearance of CP violation in B^± → K^±π⁰.

This review is focused on QCD theoretical issues and their phenomenological relevance specially for LHC. It is incomplete and mostly neglects the phenomenology of long distance physics.

Progress in Lattice QCD is slow, but steady. In this talk I shall review recent advances, both technical and numerical, and assess the present state of numerical simulations.

Recent experimental results from BES and CLEO are reviewed, including the hadron spectroscopy from J/ψ decays, decay studies of ψ(2S) and χ_CJ, the results for D decays and ψ(3770) decays. The future plans for both experiments are also reported.

Nuclear matter is predicted to undergo a phase transition and become a plasma of quarks and gluons (QGP) at high temperature and density. Recent experimental results from high-energy heavy-ion collisions at the Relativistic Heavy-ion Collider (RHIC) indicate the production of a strongly interacting quark-gluon matter with fluid-like properties. I will discuss some expected features of QCD at high temperature and density, theoretical interpretations of experimental observations and challenges in unraveling some of the basic properties of dense matter in the strongly interacting regime.

I review recent theoretical advances in heavy hadron spectroscopy.

This report summarizes the results in light quark spectroscopy achieved in last few years. The variety of experimental approaches, from kaon decays to fix target experiments and high statistics studies at e+e- colliders lead to radical progress in this field. Topics of interest include low energy pion pion scattering, scalars, higher excitations in meson spectra and exotics. The impact of these results on the understanding of nonperturbative QCD as well as further prospects are discussed.

Review of recent developments in attempts to go beyond the Standard Model is given. We concentrate on three main unresolved problems: mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking, expected new physics at the TeV scale (mainly SUSY) and the origin of the Dark matter.

Recent results for direct searches for physics beyond the Standard Model are reviewed. The results include Tevatron II data up to 1.2 fb^-1 and HERA results up to 350 pb^-1. Searches for Supersymmetry, for compositeness and for large extra dimensions are presented. The excess of events with an isolated lepton and high missing transverse momentum at HERA is discussed.

This contributions summarizes some of the developments in tests and measurements of the electroweak sector of the standard model. Recent experimental results and their implications are emphasized.

The Tevatron Run-II began in March 2001. To date, both the CDF and DØ experiments have collected 1 fb^-1 of data each. The results obtained from this data set were summarized at this conference in 39 parallel session presentations covering a wide range of topics. I summarize the most important of those results here and comment on some of the prospects for the future.

This paper presents an overview of recent results from accelerator based neutrino experiments. We also review the status of experiments which are being planned for the near future. While most emphasis and interest of late is on neutrino oscillation experiments, we discuss non-oscillation experiments which will produce important results on cross sections.

Astroparticle is a very wide, expanding, sector of Physics; this report covers only a fraction of it complementing the plenary reports of Y. Takahashi and K. Inoue. I will focus, in particular, on the experimental evidence of new physics, beyond the Standard Model. Astroparticle and accelerator experiments will give complementary tools in the search of new particles, like those of the dark matter, and new fundamental fields, like the inflaton.

During the last decade, intriguing dualities between gauge and string theory have been found and explored. They provide a novel window on strongly coupled gauge physics, including QCD-like models. Based on a short historical review of modern string theory, we shall explain how so-called AdS/CFT dualities emerged at the end of the 1990s. Some of their concrete implications and remarkable recent progress are then illustrated for the simplest example, namely the multicolor limit of SYM theory in four dimensions. We end with a few comments on existing extensions to more realistic models and applications, in particular to the sQGP. This text is meant as a non-technical introduction to gauge/string dualities for (particle) physicists.

The status of the construction and commissioning of the LHC machine and detectors is presented, with emphasis on the experiment preparation for physics with test-beam data and cosmics runs. A few examples of physics goals with the very first data (from a few to a few hundred pb^-1) are discussed.

This talk is an attempt to present the current accelerator field status and assured prospects for elementary particle physics. The discussed subject is so rich that many interesting and important components of the picture are inevitably missing. The talk is updated version of my talk at HEP2005 International Europhysics Conference on High Energy Physics in Lisboa, Portugal.

In this concluding talk at the last pre-LHC ICHEP event, a personal view of what is happening in theory, experiment and to some extent cosmology is given.
