We summarize our results on the presence and location of horizons in charged black hole solutions of Einstein–Maxwell-dilaton theory with nontrivial dilaton potentials, asymptotically flat or (anti-)de Sitter, as function of the black hole parameters mass, charge and dilaton coupling strength. We observe that there is a value of latter which separates two regions, one where the black hole is Reissner–Nordström-like from a region where it is Schwarzschild-like. We find that for de Sitter and small nonvanishing of the dilaton coupling parameter, the extremal case is not reached by the solution. We also discuss the attractive or repulsive nature of the leading long distance interaction between two such black holes, or a test particle and one black hole, from a worldline effective field theory point of view.

We present new results from the DANSS experiment on the searches for sterile neutrinos. They are based on approximately 5 million inverse beta decay events collected at 10.9, 11.9 and 12.9m from the reactor core of the 3.1GW Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant in Russia. We do not see any statistically significant sign for the $\widetilde{{\nu }_e}$ oscillations. The exclusion area in the $\mathrm{\Delta }{m}_{41}^2$, ${sin}^{2}2{\theta }_{ee}$ parameter space goes up to ${sin}^{2}2{\theta }_{ee}<0.008$ in the most sensitive region. Plans for DANSS upgrade are presented. This upgrade should allow DANSS to test Neutrino-4 claim of observation of sterile neutrinos.

Using the Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model (hCQM), the mass spectra of doubly heavy baryons ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{cb}$ and ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{bb}$ are determined. The model describes an interaction inside the baryonic system. Screened potential has been considered as confining potential with color-Coulomb potential to enumerate the masses of baryonic states. Regge trajectories have been plotted in $(J,M^2)$ plane. The properties like magnetic moment and radiative decay width have been determined using the obtained results.

We study the applications of nonextensive Tsallis statistics to high energy and hadron physics. These applications include studies of $pp$ collisions, equation of state of QCD, as well as Bose–Einstein condensation. We also analyze the connections of Tsallis statistics with thermofractals, and address some of the conceptual aspects of the fractal approach, which are expressed in terms of the renormalization group equation and the self-energy corrections to the parton mass. We associate these well-known concepts with the origins of the fractal structure in the quantum field theory.

Application of Wigner–Weyl calculus to the investigation of nondissipative transport phenomena is reviewed. We focus on the quantum Hall effect, Chiral Magnetic effect and Chiral separation effect, and discuss the role of interactions, inhomogeneity and deviations from equilibrium.

Experiments with antiprotons often require the tracking of charged particles emerging from the annihilation process. The Atomic Spectroscopy And Collisions Using Slow Antiprotons (ASACUSA) collaboration at the CERN Antiproton Decelerator (AD) used several panels of scintillating bars placed around the interaction region to detect the passage of charged pions and determine the annihilation vertex position and time. The panels were composed by extruded scintillating bars and the light was collected using WaveLength Shifting (WLS) fibers and multi-anode PhotoMultiplier Tubes (PMTs). After operating for several years, the fiber-PMT coupling quality had degraded and a major upgrade of the light readout system was planned. The PMTs will be replaced by Silicon PhotoMultipliers (SiPMs) and the front-end electronics changed accordingly. An improvement is expected in the efficiency and the uniformity of the detector response. In this contribution the commissioning of the upgrade will be described, including the results of preliminary tests with cosmic rays.

In this work, we investigate the thermodynamics of four-dimensional charged anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole surrounded by perfect fluids in the context of Rastall theory. We derive the equations of state by considering the charge square $Q^2$ and the metric parameter $N_s$ as the thermodynamic variables. The $Q^2-\mathrm{\Phi }$ and $N_s-{\mathrm{\Theta }}_s$ figures for some special surrounding fields were analyzed in detail. To better explain the phase transition, the behavior of the Gibbs free energy is presented. Note that the critical exponents are in perfect agreement with the van der Waals (vdWs) fluid system. In addition, we discuss Joule–Thomson (J-T) expansion in extended phase space. We determine the region where cooling or heating by investigating J-T coefficient. The inversion curves and the isenthalpic curves are plotted in the $T-P$ plane. Also, we calculate the minimum inversion temperature $T_{\mathrm{\text{min}}}$ and find that the ratio $T_{\mathrm{\text{min}}}/T_c$ is independent of the radiation field parameter $N_r$.

In this paper, we investigate the mass spectra of bottom-charm baryons systematically, where the relativistic quark model and the infinitesimally shifted Gaussian basis function method are employed. Our calculation shows that the $\rho$-mode appears lower in energy than the other excited modes. According to this feature, the allowed quantum states are selected and a systematic study of the mass spectra for ${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{bc}^{\prime }$ (${\mathrm{\Xi }}_{bc}$) and ${\mathrm{\Omega }}_{bc}^{\prime }$ (${\mathrm{\Omega }}_{bc}$) families is performed. The root mean square radii and quark radial probability density distributions of these baryons are analyzed as well. Next, the Regge trajectories in the $(J,M^2)$ plane are successfully constructed based on the mass spectra. At last, we present the structures of the mass spectra, and analyze the difficulty and opportunity in searching for the ground states of bottom-charm baryons in experiment.

Motivated by the generalized uncertainty principle, we derive a discrete picture of the space that respects Lorentz symmetry as well as gauge symmetry by setting an equivalency between the linear Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) correction term and electromagnetic interaction term in the Dirac equation. We derived a wave function solution that satisfies this equivalency. This discreteness may explain the crystal and quasicrystal structures observed in nature at different energy scales.

In this work, we investigate a cosmological model in the context of the covariant formalism proposed by Canuto et al. where the notion of atomic and gravitational units is invoked. We consider a minimally coupled scalar field as gravitational source, including a self-interacting potential. It is possible to determine the symmetries associated to the correspondent field theory using the Noether procedure, through the Lie derivative construction. This permits to determine the scale function $\beta (t)$, present in the covariant formalism, that maps the physics between descriptions in atomic and gravitational units. In gravitational units it is verified that the Klein–Gordon field behaves as a dark constituent. On the other hand, in atomic units what emerges is an initially accelerated universe, with a later incursion into a decelerated one, mirroring the usual matter/radiation age.

This paper proposes a novel approach to quantizing Nambu brackets in classical mechanics using operator formalism. The approach employs the “Planck derivative” to represent Nambu brackets, from which we derive a commutation relation for their quantization. Notably, this commutation relation aligns with that emerging from the T-duality of closed strings in a twisted torus with a B-field, thereby hinting at a potential connection with double field theory.
