The D-instantons in $(p,p+1)$ theory can contribute to the string effective action. The relation with the D-instanton term in Type IIB string theory will be clarified. The equation of the scalar field is projected to the two-dimensional worldsheet, on which a $(p,q)$ conformal field theory may be formulated. The energies of primary states in a minimal $(p,p+1)$ theory coupled to a $G_2$ topological string are evaluated and compared with the particle spectrum.

In this work, we reconsider the study of 5D black branes in M-theory compactifications by means of ${𝒩}=2$ supergravity formalism. Precisely, we provide a model relaying on a three-parameter Calabi–Yau (CY) manifold in the ${\mathbb{P}}^1\times {\mathbb{P}}^1\times {\mathbb{P}}^2$ projective space factorization, referred to as economical model. First, we investigate the stability of 5D BPS and non-BPS black holes obtained from wrapped M2-branes on nonholomorphic two-cycles in such a CY manifold. Then, we approach the stability of 5D black strings derived from wrapped M5-branes on nonholomorphic four-cycles. Among others, we find various stable and unstable black brane solutions depending on the charge regions of the involved moduli space.

In this work, we have examined the metric affine-based geometric model $f(Q)=Q+m{Q}^n$ to investigate inflationary cosmology and bouncing cosmology. The four bouncing models we have examined are the exponential, matter, symmetric and super-bounce models. Furthermore, in the inflationary situation, we have employed a scalar field to test whether or not kinetic energy is dominated and whether or not all of the bouncing models are consistent with inflationary conditions. We have investigated various energy conditions for various scale factors and verified whether or not these scale factors are consistent with inflationary scenarios within the framework of inflationary cosmology under $f(Q)\text{gravity}$. In the end, we have shown that the bouncing scale factor under the polynomial model ($Q+m{Q}^n$) of $f(Q)$ gravity in a single scalar field is compatible with the inflationary scenario.

In this paper, we study the phenomenological implications of two minor zeros in neutrino mass matrix using trimaximal mixing matrix. In this context, we analyzed 15 possible cases of two minor zeros in neutrino mass matrix and found only two cases, namely, class $A_1$ and class $A_2$, that are compatible with the present neutrino oscillation data. We present correlations of several neutrino oscillation parameters and give prediction of the total neutrino mass, the values of effective Majorana mass, the effective electron anti-neutrino mass and CP violating Majorana phases for these two classes. We also explore the degree of fine tuning in the elements of neutrino mass matrix for the allowed classes. Moreover, we propose a flavor model within the seesaw model along with $Z_8$ symmetry group that can generate such classes.

In this study, we explore a topologically charged higher-dimensional traversable defect wormhole, with a specific emphasis on five dimensions. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the matter–energy distribution attributed to this charged wormhole configuration adheres to the weak energy condition, thus presenting an instance of a five-dimensional wormhole supported by non-exotic matter. Furthermore, our analysis shows that scalar quantities related to space-time curvature and parameters associated with the matter–energy distribution remain finite at the wormhole throat. Moreover, they diminish as distance extends toward infinity, indicating the asymptotic flatness inherent in our model.

This study focuses on baryons that consists of one heavy quark and two light quarks. This paper explores the mass spectra of radial and excited states for all singly heavy baryons, employing the Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model (hCQM). In this model, we incorporated higher-order corrections, including second-order corrections in mass, specifically considering spin-dependent terms. This methodology enables a more accurate observation of the correct spin splitting order. We have determined important properties, including magnetic moment, transition magnetic moment, radiative decay width and strong decay width.

In this paper, we solve the Duffin–Kemmer–Petiau equation in the presence of the cusp potential for spin-one particles. We derived the scattering solutions and calculated the bound states in terms of the Whittaker functions. We show that transmission resonances are present, as well as the particle–anti-particle bound states.

In this paper, we have investigated the nonrelativistic limit of a quantum particle, subjected to a uniform magnetic field and in the presence of some confinement potentials, immersed in a background with a cosmic string and a screw dislocation. We separately examined four models, constructed the energy spectrum and cyclotron frequency for each of them, and checked the consistency of the results by considering the limit of some characteristic parameters of the potentials.

While the quantum realm seems hidden, it can also reach examples of infinite energy, especially when a part of space is roughly removed until it disappears, possibly forever. Since it follows that Nothing can enter a region where the space is missing, the quantum realm, as seen now in affine quantization, will automatically come to help everything else by creating colossal “quantum walls” that will ensure that everything stays out of all black holes. In this paper, we show that the expanded quantum realm allows Nothing to ever fall into a black hole.
