The convective flow of Jeffrey ternary hybrid nanoliquid over a curved stretching sheet, water-based aluminum oxide and graphene nanoparticles and single wall carbon nanotubes had been employed in this work to explore the hydrothermal variation. In the process of modeling the mechanism of mass transfer, activation energy and binary chemical processes are taken into consideration. The expressions of energy and mass are computed with the extra influence of Brownian diffusion and the thermophoresis characteristics. The initial step in evaluating leading equations involves transforming them into dimensionless forms through similarity transformations. To supplement the assessment, a diverse range of graphs and tables are utilized. The exploration and discussion of various parameters and their impact on involved fields are also presented. In ternary hybrid nanoliquids, an increase in thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters positively impacts heat transfer capacity. The Biot number exhibits a positive influence on heat transport, while the Schmidt number reduces mass transfer. The curvature parameter has a beneficial impact on the heat transmission rate. Furthermore, as the activation energy parameter rises, the mass transport increases, while it decreases as the chemical reaction rate parameter increases.

This model is designed to provide clarity on how blood travels through tiny veins in physiological systems with heat and mass transfer characteristics. Further, the purpose of this paper is to examine the Ohmic heating and heat source/sink effects on peristaltic transport of radiative Casson nanofluid in a nonuniform porous inclined channel in the presence of a normal/inclined magnetic field. We also considered the sway of chemical reaction, Soret and Dufour effects. The momentum, temperature and mass equations for Casson fluid model are obtained with the utilization of the lubrication approach. The exact solutions have been acquired for stream function and axial velocity. Further, the temperature and concentration equations are solved numerically by using the R–K based shooting method. We also tabulated the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers for various relevant parameters. Finally, the impacts of all major factors on the physical properties of the flow for both normal and inclined magnetic fields are explored and discussed in depth using graphs. The Casson fluid velocity is more for an inclined magnetic field than a normal magnetic field. The nonuniform parameter of the channel boosts the trapped fluid bolus size. The heat source/sink parameter improves the temperature field but the opposite trend is observed in the field of concentration. Moreover, the findings are validated with the existing works for some special circumstances.

Heat transfer and entropy generation are crucial considerations in the nuclear industry, where the safe and efficient transfer of heat is essential for the operation of nuclear reactors and other nuclear systems. Casson fluid is a useful tool in the nuclear industry for simulating the flow behavior of nuclear fuels and coolants, and for optimizing the design and operation of nuclear reactors. In view of this, the current investigation deals with the heat and fluid flow of unsteady Casson fluid in a circular pipe under the influence of magnetic field, internal heat generation, entropy generation and porous media. The governing equations have been simplified under suitable assumptions and nondimensional quantities. The simplified dimensionless governing equations have been solved using the method of separation of variables along with Bessel functions. It is concluded from the investigation that the temperature increases with time. The Casson fluid parameter raises the temperature and entropy generation. The temperature, entropy generation and Bejan number are the decreasing functions of the Prandtl number.

The study of melting heat transfer in micropolar nanofluid flow through porous media can provide insights into optimizing various industrial and engineering processes, as well as improve our understanding of fluid transport through porous media in environmental and biomedical applications. This study focuses on the impact of Brownian motion, thermophoresis, internal heat generation/absorption, chemical reaction and melting effects on two-dimensional micropolar nanofluid flow across a permeable stretchy surface with a stagnation point. Appropriate similarity transformations are chosen in order to convert the system of the nonlinear ordinary differential equation. The results for various parameters are examined by applying the shooting method with BVP5C technique. Furthermore, graphs and tables are used to explore the impact of significant factors that affected the velocity, microrotation, thermal behavior, and concentration of nanofluids. Results reveals that the increase in values of Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters caused a growth in the Sherwood number and drop in the Nusselt number. The upshot of the stretching parameter (SP) on velocity, temperature, concentration and microrotation is studied. Results reveal that the velocity and microrotation fields remain constant while thermal activity increases for SP$=$1. The higher value of the SP increases the concentration.

This paper presents an accurate prediction of surface drag, pressure coefficient and flow transition around a symmetric airfoil design through the implementation of finite element discretization. Skin friction coefficient has been analyzed at different Reynolds number and at various angles of attack for NACA0012 airfoil design. The transition from laminar to turbulent flow significantly impacts the separation of the boundary layer and skin friction of the airfoil, ultimately affecting its aerodynamic characteristics. The pressure distribution around the surface of NACA0012 has also been computed at several Reynolds number and different attack angles using higher order triangular meshes. Numerical evaluation of these results when compared with the experimental results demonstrates superior accuracy with higher-order finite element mesh. The investigation carried out by higher-order element meshing approach is based on the subparametric transformation of parabolic arcs of triangular element curved at one side. Moreover, the high aspect ratio meshes obtained during discretization of airfoil design have been considered for the analysis. The investigation has yielded results that closely align with experimental data, demonstrating excellent performance. The current efficient analysis of pressure and flow transition is beneficial in interpreting aerodynamic performance and flow simulations for aerospace and computational fluid dynamics applications.

This paper presents a numerical solution for the nonlinear thermal radiation effect of magnetohydrodynamic flow of Casson nanofluid over a stretching wall through a porous channel. As the linear thermal radiation leads to a significant difference between the highest and lowest possible temperatures, the nonlinear thermal radiation is used in this work. The governing partial differential equations are changed into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity transformation and then solved using the Runge–Kutta method together with the shooting technique. The graphical representation of the temperature and the velocity profiles is presented for different values of the parameters involved in the problem. The obtained results of the skin friction and the heat transfer are compared with the results in the literature and achieved an excellent agreement.

This study aims to investigate the influence of chemical reactions and anisotropic porous material on the convective instability, heat and mass transfer rate of water-based carbon nanotube suspension. Flow governing dynamics are modeled using the modified Brinkman–Buongiorno model. The effects of pertinent flow characterizing parameters such as chemical reaction parameter, porosity parameter, mechanical anisotropy parameter and thermal anisotropy parameter on the threshold of convection, heat and mass transport rate are discussed and compared for three types of enclosures: shallow, square and tall. The study concludes that nanoliquid suspended with single-walled carbon nanotubes has higher heat and mass transfer capability than the multi-walled carbon nanotubes when saturated in a tall porous enclosure and also tall enclosure allows the convection to set in earlier. Anisotropic effect and destructive chemical reaction delay the starting of convection. Further, it is observed that the heat transfer rate decreases with the chemical reaction parameter.

Owing to novel thermos-physical properties, various applications of nanofluids are noted in thermal systems, solar energy, extrusion framework, industrial processes, cooling system, heating devices and biomedical applications. In order to attain more thermal impact of nanofluids, various features are endorsed by researchers. However, the thermal applications of nanofluids with interaction of induced magnetic field intended less attention. The aim of this study is to report the significance of induced magnetic force for non-Newtonian nanofluid containing microorganisms. The thixotropic non-Newtonian fluid model is used to classify the distinct rheological impact. The bioconvective thermal model is presented in view of variable thermal conductivity. The problem is further entertained with thermal radiation impact and activation energy. The convective boundary conditions are used to simulate the computations. The governing system is first reduced into dimensionless models which are numerically treated with implementation of shooting technique. The physical parameters report high fluctuation in the thermal phenomenon which are carefully evaluated.

The topic of this study is the flow of a micro-polar liquid toward a nonlinear stretched surface using magnetohydrodynamics (MHDs). The analysis presents the effects of some important parameters on fluid flow. The mixed convection phenomena are used to examine the characteristics of heat transmission. By using the appropriate transformations, dimensional nonlinear equations can be transformed into dimensionless expressions. The governing dimensionless problems are solved using the modified Laplace decomposition approach by examining the effects of various boundary factors on flow and heat transfer.

This study examines and analyzes the impact of MHD and bioconvection on Maxwell’s nanofluid flow in a porous medium that contains gyrotactic microorganisms. In addition, more study on chemically reactive activation energy and Cattaneo–Christov heat flux is conducted, and the conclusions from this research are presented. The bioconvection flow of Maxwell nanofluids over a stretched sheet is presented by highly nonlinear partial differential equations, which are reduced to ordinary differential equations using suitable similarity transformations. A shooting method based on the Runge–Kutta technique is used to overcome the issue. The outcomes are graphically represented and explored numerically in detail for the relevant parameters’ impact on the velocity, temperature, concentration, and motile microorganisms profiles. Results reveal that the velocity profile is decreased by increasing the magnetic parameter, while those enhanced by the mixed convection parameters. The thermal boundary thickness and temperature profile negatively correlate with the thermal relaxation time and Prandtl number and are proportional to the magnetic parameter. Boosting the Brownian motion parameter, Deborah number, and thermophoresis parameter improves heat transport. The activation energy and Prandtl parameters show an upward trend in concentration profiles. The density of the motile microorganisms is a decreasing function of Lewis and Peclet numbers.
