The left–right asymmetric deformation of normal deformed (ND) and superdeformed (SD) states of ¹⁹⁴Pb has been investigated in the framework of the parity-symmetry projection of the highly truncated diagonalization approach (HTDA), which is suited to treat the correlations in an explicitly particle-number conserving microscopic approach. A Skyrme energy density functional using the SIII and SkM* interactions has been considered to treat the particle–hole channel, whereas a density-independent δ force has been adopted for the residual interaction. The obtained results are compared with previous approaches. The calculated octupole phonon excitation energy is found to be in good qualitative agreement with available data in the ND state.

In the framework of the optical limit approximation (OLA), the reaction cross-section for halo nucleus — stable nucleus collision at intermediate energy, has been studied. The projectile nuclei are taken to be one-neutron halo (1NHP) and two-neutron halo (2NHP). The calculations are carried out for Gaussian–Gaussian (GG), Gaussian-Oscillator (GO), and Gaussian-2S (G2S) densities for each considered projectile. As a target, the stable nuclei in the range 4–28 of the mass number are used. An analytic expression of the phase shift function has been derived. The zero range approximation is considered in the calculations. Also, the in-medium effect is studied. The obtained results are analyzed and compared with the geometrical reaction cross-section and the available experimental data.

The behavior of the charm and bottom structure functions , where i = c, and b; k = 2, and L) at small-x is considered with respect to the hard-Pomeron and saturation models. Having checked that this behavior predicate the heavy flavor reduced cross-sections concerning the unshadowed and shadowed corrections. We will show that the effective exponents for the unshadowed and saturation corrections are independent of x and Q², and also the effective coefficients are dependent to ln Q² compared to Donnachie–Landshoff (DL) and color dipole models (CDMs).

The helicity-dependent coherent π⁰-photoproduction in the reaction γd → π⁰d near the η-threshold is investigated. The calculations are performed within an approach which includes the reaction amplitudes of the impulse approximation (IA), two-step process with intermediate πN- and ηN-rescattering, and the higher order terms in the multiple scattering series for the intermediate ηNN interaction. The contribution of γd → π⁰d to the deuteron spin asymmetry is calculated and its contribution to the Gerasimov–Drell–Hearn (GDH) integral is explicitly evaluated by integration up to a photon energy of 900 MeV. In addition, the helicity E-asymmetry is calculated. The results revealed that the doubly polarized differential cross-sections and the helicity E-asymmetry are sensitive to the interference of rescattering effects, specially at photon energies 600–800 MeV and extreme backward pion angles. The sensitivity of the obtained results for the GDH integral to the choice of NN potential model governing the deuteron wave function is discussed. We find that the deviation among results obtained for the deuteron GDH integral using different deuteron wave functions is quite large.

A developed effective chiral Lagrangian approach is used to study the cold dense nuclear matter. Improved calculation of baryon number density as a function of chemical potential is given. The resonance appeared in a natural way as chemical potential is getting larger. Calculations of susceptibility and pressure including the resonance contribution are also given.

We discuss collective effects in pp-collisions at the LHC energies and derive an upper bound for the anisotropic flow coefficients v_n. A possibility of its verification via comparison with the measurements of v₂ is considered. We use an assumption on the relation of the two-particle correlations with the rotation of the transient state of matter.

In this paper, we investigate the difference between hadron resonance gas (HRG) calculations for chemical freeze-out parameters at fully and partly chemical equilibria. To this end, the results are compared with the particle ratios measured in central Au–Au collisions at a wide range of nucleon–nucleon center-of-mass energies, as offered by the STAR experiment. We restrict the discussion to STAR, because of large statistics and overall homogeneity of STAR measurements (one detector) against previous experiments. We find that the matter produced at these energies is likely in fully chemical equilibria, which is consistent with recent lattice quantum chromodynamics (QCD) results. The possible improvements by partial chemical equilibria (γ_S ≠ 1) are very limited. We also discuss these results with the ones deduced from ϕ/π^- and Ω^-/π^- ratios. These hadron ratios are sensitive to the degree of chemical equilibrium. Accordingly, the conclusion that the matter produced reaches fully chemical equilibria in central Au–Au at relativistic heavy-ion collider (RHIC) energies is confirmed.
