Simultaneous nonlinear realizations of spontaneously broken supersymmetry in conjunction with other spontaneous and/or explicitly broken symmetries including R symmetry, global chiral symmetry, dilatations and the superconformal symmetries is reviewed.

We show how to complement Feynman's exponential of the action so that it exhibits a ℤ₂ duality symmetry. The latter illustrates a relativity principle for the notion of quantum versus classical.

We derive two-dimensional (2D) solutions of a generic dilaton gravity model coupled with matter, which describe D-dimensional static black holes with pointlike sources. The equality between the mass M of the D-dimensional gravitational solution and the mass m of the source can also be preserved at the level of the 2D gravity model.

Using the most general effective Hamiltonian comprising scalar, vector and tensor type interactions, we have computed the branching ratio, the forward–backward (FB) asymmetry and the normalized FB asymmetry as functions of the new Wilson coefficients. It is found that the branching ratio depends on all new coefficients, but the asymmetries can be analyzed in terms of only one Wilson coefficient.

Possible existence of black holes remnants provides a suitable candidates for dark matter. In this paper we study the possibility of existence for such remnants. We consider quantum gravitational induced corrections of black hole's entropy and temperature to investigate the possibility of such relics. Observational scheme for detection of these remnants and their cosmological constraints are discussed.

The outstanding properties of diamond make it an ideal material for radiation detectors especially in the high temperature, high radiation and corrosion environments. For this purpose, electrical and irradiation properties of high quality CVD diamond detector were investigated at room temperature under irradiation conditions. For freestanding diamond films, dark current was in the order of 10^-10 A and photocurrent was in the order of 10^-8 A by 5.9 keV X-ray irradiation from a ⁵⁵Fe source with the applied voltage of 40 V. Pulse height spectrum acquired using a ²⁴¹Am alpha particle source show a full-energy peak at 820 channel which corresponded to an average charge collection efficiency of approximately 40.5%. However, a good signal-to-noise ratio and an energy resolution of 1.33% for alpha particles detecting were also obtained.

The possibility of flavor transitions into sterile neutrinos (accompanying the dominant LMA transitions) in the solar boron neutrino flux has been examined in a scenario proposed by Hollanda and Smirnov to overcome some generic problems of the pure LMA scenario. It is found that the most recent SNO salt phase solar neutrino data and the KamLAND 766.3 Ty spectral data, allow for a significant sterile presence in the solar boron neutrino flux reaching the earth.

Supersymmetric contributions to the neutron electric dipole moment (EDM) are studied by taking account of the flavor changing interactions. We found that the gluino contribution is sensitive to the flavor changing interaction. Enhancement of neutron EDM via flavor mixing effects is possible when the squark mass difference between the different generations is sizable. As an example, the results of the SUSY SU(5) GUT with right-handed neutrinos are briefly discussed.
