Constraints on dark matter from the first CMS and ATLAS SUSY searches are investigated. It is shown that within the minimal supergravity model, the early search for supersymmetry at the LHC has depleted a large portion of the signature space in dark matter direct detection experiments. In particular, the prospects for detecting signals of dark matter in the XENON and CDMS experiments are significantly affected in the low neutralino mass region. Here the relic density of dark matter typically arises from slepton coannihilations in the early universe. In contrast, it is found that the CMS and ATLAS analyses leave untouched the Higgs pole and the Hyperbolic Branch/Focus Point regions, which are now being probed by the most recent XENON results. Analysis is also done for supergravity models with non-universal soft breaking where one finds that a part of the dark matter signature space depleted by the CMS and ATLAS cuts in the minimal SUGRA case is repopulated. Thus, observation of dark matter in the LHC depleted region of minimal supergravity may indicate non-universalities in soft breaking.

A Lorentz and gauge symmetry preserving regularization method has been proposed recently in four dimensions based on Euclidean momentum cutoff. It is shown that the triangle anomaly can be calculated unambiguously with this new improved cutoff. The anticommutator of γ⁵ and γ^μ multiplied by five γ matrices is proportional to terms that do not vanish under a divergent loop-momentum integral, but cancel otherwise.

We study heavy light mesons in a QCD inspired quark model with the Cornell potential . Here we consider the linear term br as the parent and , i.e. the Coloumbic part as the perturbation. The linear parent leads to Airy function as the unperturbed wave function. We then use the Dalgarno method of perturbation theory to obtain the total wave function corrected up to first order with Coulombic piece as the perturbation. With these wave functions, we study the Isgur–Wise function and calculate its slope and curvature.

The neutrino oscillations probabilities depend on mass squared differences; in the case of three-neutrino mixing, there are two independent differences, which have been measured experimentally. In order to calculate the absolute masses of neutrinos, we have conjectured a third relation, in the form of a sum of squared masses. The calculated masses look plausible and are in good agreement with the upper bounds coming from astrophysics.

By solving the Boltzmann equation, an expression is derived for the stopping power of fast ions via nuclear elastic scattering, taking into account the large-energy-transfer scattering effects. The plasma electrons and ions are considered in temperature equilibrium with the Maxwellian distribution function. Thus, by adding Coulomb stopping power, the complete treatment is obtained for stopping power of charged particles moving in a plasma. The result is used, for example, to calculate the stopping power of proton projectile moving in a deuterium–tritium plasma. These calculations show that the nuclear elastic scattering effect on stopping power of fast ions is more effective in high-temperature plasmas (T ≥ 10 keV) such as that used in thermonuclear plasmas.

We emphasize that the electroweak interactions without a Higgs boson are very similar to quantum general relativity. The Higgs field could just be a dressing field and might not exist as a propagating particle. In that interpretation, the electroweak interactions without a Higgs boson could be renormalizable at the nonperturbative level because of a nontrivial fixed point. Tree-level unitarity in electroweak bosons scattering is restored by the running of the weak scale.

The light pseudoscalar boson η is the typical particle predicted by the Simplest Little Higgs (SLH) model. In this paper, we investigate some processes of the associated production of a light pseudoscalar boson η with a pair of top quarks in the SLH model at the International Linear Collider (ILC), i.e. and . We find that the cross-sections of these two processes could reach fb in the favorite parameter space in the SLH model, which is consistent with the results of the cross-section of in the standard model and the cross-section of in the minimal supersymmetric standard model. It should be clear that hundreds to thousands of η can be produced at the ILC per year, these processes of are really interesting in testing the standard model and searching the signs of the SLH model.

In this study, energy distributions of the various wormholes which connect two different parts of the universe have been investigated. We have obtained the energies of several types of wormholes as the statical wormholes, wormholes with scalar fields, electrical charged wormholes, zero density wormholes, zero radial tides wormholes, conformal wormholes, inflating wormholes, wormhole model in the Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (FRW) cosmology and Visser–Kar–Dadlich (VKD) wormholes using the Einstein, Weinberg and Landau–Lifshitz energy–momentum prescriptions. The Weinberg and Landau–Lifshitz energies of the statical wormholes, wormholes with scalar fields, electrical charged wormholes, zero density wormholes, zero radial tides wormholes or VKD-wormholes give the same results. Also, Weinberg, Landau–Lifshitz and Einstein energies of the conformal wormholes, inflating wormholes or wormholes in the FRW-cosmology give the different results.
