Coherent state functional integral for the minisuperspace model of loop quantum cosmology is studied. By the well-established canonical theory, the transition amplitude in the path integral representation of loop quantum cosmology with alternative dynamics can be formulated through group averaging. The effective action and Hamiltonian with higher-order quantum corrections are thus obtained. It turns out that for a nonsymmetric Hamiltonian constraint operator, the Moyal (star)-product emerges naturally in the effective Hamiltonian. For the corresponding symmetric Hamiltonian operator, the resulted effective theory implies a possible quantum cosmological effect in large scale limit in the alternative dynamical scenario, which coincides with the result in canonical approach. Moreover, the first-order modified Friedmann equation still contains the particular information of alternative dynamics and hence admits the possible phenomenological distinction between the different proposals of quantum dynamics.

In this paper, we propose to solve the relativistic Klein–Gordon and Dirac equations subjected to the action of a uniform electromagnetic field with a generalized uncertainty principle in the momentum space. In both cases, the energy eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenfunctions are obtained. The limit case is then deduced for a small parameter of deformation.

In recent years a number of white dwarfs have been observed with very high surface magnetic fields. We can expect that the magnetic field in the core of these stars would be much higher (~10¹⁴G). In this paper, we analytically study the effect of high magnetic field on relativistic cold electron, and hence its effect on the stability and the mass–radius relation of a magnetic white dwarf. In strong magnetic fields, the equation of state of the Fermi gas is modified and Landau quantization comes into play. For relatively very high magnetic fields (with respect to the average energy density of matter) the number of Landau levels is restricted to one or two. We analyze the equation of states for magnetized electron degenerate gas analytically and attempt to understand the conditions in which transitions from the zeroth Landau level to first Landau level occurs. We also find the effect of the strong magnetic field on the star collapsing to a white dwarf, and the mass–radius relation of the resulting star. We obtain an interesting theoretical result that it is possible to have white dwarfs with mass more than the mass set by Chandrasekhar limit.

U(1) Chern–Simons theory is quantized canonically on manifolds of the form , where Σ is a closed orientable surface. In particular, we investigate the role of mapping class group of Σ in the process of quantization. We show that, by requiring the quantum states to form representation of the holonomy group and the large gauge transformation group, both of which are deformed by quantum effect, the mapping class group can be consistently represented, provided the Chern–Simons parameter k satisfies an interesting quantization condition. The representations of all the discrete groups are unique, up to an arbitrary sub-representation of the mapping class group. Also, we find a k↔1/k duality of the representations.

In the paper, multidimensional anisotropic metric and density of vacuum energy in the Kasner's model are investigated. It is shown that the presence of scalar field in model is equivalent to metric in the spacetime with additional dimensions and we propose the idea of generating additional dimensions by massless scalar field. We propose a method of renormalization of metric that describes conversion from spacetime with scalar field to higher-dimensional spacetime. We obtain the expression for cosmological constant which depends on the initial conditions for anisotropic metric coefficients. Using the method of Bogolubov, we investigate the influence of anisotropic metric onto the cosmological birth of particles and obtain the effective mass of scalar field depending on the cosmological constant.

Recently there has been progress on the computation of two- and three-point correlation functions with two "heavy" states via semiclassical methods. We extend this analysis to the case of AdS₅×T^{1, 1}, and examine the suggested procedure for the case of several simple string solutions. By making use of AdS/CFT duality, we derive the relevant correlation functions of operators belonging to the dual gauge theory.
