An overview is given on key physics, detector and accelerator aspects of the LHeC including its further development with emphasis to its role as the cleanest microscope of parton dynamics and a precision Higgs facility.

Considering the constraints from the current experiment results, we analyze mixing with a Higgs boson around 125 GeV, and discuss the influence of M_A, tanβ to the m_h and Δm_B in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We find these constraints have a strong impact to the parameters of M_A and tanβ, they almost exclude the small M_A and large tanβ, to have a obvious correction to the mass difference Δm_B we argue that the M_A should not too large, it is possible to observe the M_A boson with a mass 300 ~ 400 GeV in the future.

The alpha-decay half lives of superheavy elements have been calculated in the framework of WKB method. The effective potential has been considered as summation of the deformed Woods–Saxon nuclear potential, deformed Coulomb potential and centrifugal term. The quadrupole, hexadecapole and hexacontatetrapole deformations have been included in the calculation. The effect of hexacontatetrapole deformation on the potential barrier has been presented, separately. The good agreement between theory and experiment has been observed for alpha-decay half-lives of heavy and superheavy elements.

Starting from a quantization relation for primordial extremal black holes with electric and magnetic charges, it is shown that their entropy is quantized. Furthermore, the energy levels spacing for such black holes is derived as a function of the level number n, appearing in the quantization relation. Some interesting cosmological consequences are presented for small values of n. By producing a mismatch between the mass and the charge, the black hole temperature is derived and its behavior investigated. Finally extending the quantum relation to Schwarzschild black holes their temperature is found to be in agreement with the Hawking temperature and a simple interpretation of the microscopic degrees of freedom of the black holes is given.

This is a continuation of recent studies of ϒ(nS) production at the LHC in pp collisions. Our previous studies were for rapidity y = -1 to 1 for the CMS detector, while the present study is for y = 2.5 to 4.0 at the LHC.

The ground state energies, sizes and deformations of 1897 even–even nuclei with 10≤Z ≤110 have been carried out by using the Relativistic Mean Field (RMF) model. In the present calculations, the nonlinear RMF force NL3* recent refitted version of the NL3 force has been used. The BCS (Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer) formalism with constant gap approximation has been taken into account for pairing correlations. The predictions of RMF model for the ground state properties of some nuclei have been discussed in detail.

In heavy-ion collisions, the production of kaon at intermediate energies provides a sensitive probe to study the in-medium properties of hadrons. Properties of kaons in dense hadronic matter are important for a better understanding of both the possible restoration of chiral symmetry in dense hadronic matter and the properties of nuclear matter at high densities. In this paper, the in-medium effects and nuclear equation of state (EOS) are studied by analyzing the transverse mass spectra and rapidity distributions of the produced K⁺ mesons in collisions at 1.93 A GeV using the quantum molecular dynamics (QMD) model. The work reveals that the KaoS data favor a repulsive in-medium K⁺N potential (its value at saturation density ρ₀ is (U_k(ρ₀) ≈30 MeV). It is also found that the transverse mass spectra and rapidity distributions of K⁺ mesons are sensitive to the nuclear EOS.
