FINUDA was a complex magnetic spectrometer installed on the DAΦNE e⁺e^- collider, the Italian ϕ-factory put in operation at the INFN National Laboratories of Frascati, near Rome. It was carefully designed and specially dedicated to an extensive program of hypernuclear physics, mainly focussed on spectroscopy of light Λ-hypernuclei and on systematic study of their decay modes. Among the latest FINUDA results, of particular importance are the first observation of the neutron-rich Λ-hypernucleus and the first experimental evidence of the so-called hypernucleus two-nucleon induced non-mesonic weak decay.

Based on the works of Ghosh et al. who view the black hole entropy as the logarithm of the number of quantum states on the Quantum Isolated Horizon (QIH), the entropy of d-dimensional black hole is studied. According to the Unruh–Verlinde temperature deduced from the concept of entropic force, the statistical entropy of quantum fields under the background of d-dimensional spacetime is calculated by means of quantum statistics. The results reveal the relation between the entanglement entropy of black hole and the logarithm of the number of quantum states and display the effects of dimensions on the correction terms of the entanglement entropy.

The discovery of a light Higgs boson at Large Hadron Collider may be suggesting that we need to revise our model building paradigms to understand the origin of the weak scale. We explore the possibility that the Fermi scale is not fundamental but rather a derived one, i.e. a low energy mirage. We show that this scenario emerges in a very natural way in models previously used to break the electroweak symmetry dynamically and suggest a simple dynamical framework for this idea. In our model the electroweak scale results from the interplay between two very high energy scales, one typically of the order of Λ_UV ~ 10¹⁰GeV and the other around M_U ~ 10¹⁶GeV, although other values are also possible.

In this paper, we study Gödel universe in the framework of f(R, T) modified theories of gravity, where R is the curvature scalar and T the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. We demonstrate that Gödel solution occurs in this modified theory and still we suggest a path to understanding the smallness of the cosmological constant.

In the framework of Lorentzian multiply warped products we study the Gibbons–Maeda–Garfinkle–Horowitz–Strominger (GMGHS) spacetime near hypersurfaces in the interior of the event horizon. We also investigate the geodesic motion in hypersurfaces.

In this paper, we have constructed the Green function of the Feshbach–Villars (FV) spinless particle in a noncommutative (NC) phase-space coordinates, where the Pauli matrices describing the charge symmetry are replaced by the Grassmannian odd variables. Subsequently, for the perform calculations, we diagonalize the Hamiltonian governing the dynamics of the system via the Foldy–Wouthuysen (FW) canonical transformation. The exact calculations have been done in the cases of free particle and magnetic field interaction. In both cases, the energy eigenvalues and their corresponding eigenfunctions are deduced.

The universality hypothesis for quark and lepton mixing matrices (CKM and MNS) is further developed. This hypothesis explains why the CKM is almost diagonal whereas the MNS is almost maximally mixed. If this hypothesis is true, the Dirac CP violating phase of the MNS mixing matrix is bounded around π or 0. Quark–lepton mass matrices which realize this hypothesis are constructed, showing simple power law relations among mass matrices for up-type, down-type quarks and neutrinos.
