We review the current-generation short-baseline reactor neutrino experiments that have firmly established the third neutrino mixing angle θ₁₃ to be nonzero. The relative large value of θ₁₃ (around 9°) has opened many new and exciting opportunities for future neutrino experiments. Daya Bay experiment with the first measurement of is aiming for a precision measurement of this atmospheric mass-squared splitting with a comparable precision as from accelerator muon neutrino experiments. JUNO, a next-generation reactor neutrino experiment, is targeting to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy (MH) with medium baselines (~ 50 km). Beside these opportunities enabled by the large θ₁₃, the current-generation (Daya Bay, Double Chooz, and RENO) and the next-generation (JUNO, RENO-50, and PROSPECT) reactor experiments, with their unprecedented statistics, are also leading the precision era of the three-flavor neutrino oscillation physics as well as constraining new physics beyond the neutrino Standard Model.

One kind of walking technicolor (WTC) theories predict the existence of a new scalar particle called techni-dilaton (TD) which can explain the current Higgs data at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We calculate the cross-sections for the production of the TD in association with single top quark (tϕj production) in the framework of the one-family model (1FM) at the LHC. Our numerical results show that their values are at the level of several tens fb over the mass range 100 GeV < M_ϕ < 600 GeV with the center-of-mass (c.m.) energy . We further analyze the signal induced by the tϕj production and the relevant Standard Model (SM) backgrounds.

We generalize the results of arXiv:1212.1875 and arXiv:1212.6919 on attraction basins and their boundaries to the case of a specific class of rotating black holes, namely the ergo-free branch of extremal black holes in Kaluza–Klein theory. We find that exact solutions that span the attraction basin can be found even in the rotating case by appealing to certain symmetries of the equations of motion. They are characterized by two asymptotic parameters that generalize those of the non-rotating case, and the boundaries of the basin are spinning versions of the (generalized) subtractor geometry. We also give examples to illustrate that the shape of the attraction basin can drastically change depending on the theory.

It is well known that the inclusion of torsion in the gravitational formalism, leads to four-fermion interactions. Although the coupling constant of this interaction is strongly suppressed in four dimensions, its value is enhanced in models with n extra dimensions. In this context, we reinterpret the recent limits established by LHC experiments to four-fermion contact interactions, to set bounds on the size of the extra dimensions. For n = 2, the limits are comparable to those in the literature, while for n ≥ 3, the volume of the extra dimensions is strongly constrained.

This is an extension of recent studies for ϒ(nS), n = 1, 2, 3, and J/Ψ(1S), Ψ(2S) production at the LHC in pp collisions, and with the ALICE detector at 7.0 TeV, with new predictions at 8.0 TeV.

We estimate Majorana CP phases for a simple flavor neutrino mixing matrix which has been reported by Qu and Ma. Sizes of Majorana CP phases are evaluated in the study of the neutrinoless double beta decay and a particular leptogenesis scenario. We find the dependence of the physically relevant Majorana CP phase on the mass of lightest right-handed neutrino in the minimal seesaw model and the effective Majorana neutrino mass which is related with the half-life of the neutrinoless double beta decay.
