We report on the current status of non-minimal universal extra dimension (NMUED) models. Our emphasis is on the possible extension of the minimal UED (MUED) model by allowing bulk masses and boundary localized terms. We take into account the data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) as well as direct and indirect searches of dark matter (DM) and electroweak (EW) precision measurements.

In this paper, we study the scalar and electromagnetic perturbations of an extended black hole in F(R) gravity. The quasinormal modes in two cases are evaluated and studied their behavior by plotting graphs in each case. To study the quasinormal mode, we use the third-order WKB method. The present study shows that the absolute value of imaginary part of complex quasinormal modes increases in both cases, thus the black hole is stable against these perturbations. As the mass of the scalar field increases the imaginary part of the frequency decreases. Thus, damping slows down with increasing mass of the scalar field.

The solution to the current extending Universe problem, and the description of all stages of evolution compels scientists to consider various cosmological models. Scalar–tensor models are rather simple and also allow us to clearly define the separate stages of evolution. Furthermore, other cosmological models are reduced. Our work takes into consideration the non-minimally interacted scalar field and the spinor field. The spinor field has been considered to establish a better understanding of the stages of evolution in our universe.

Adopting the Hamilton–Jacobi method, we investigated the tunneling radiation of a deform Hořava–Lifshitz black hole, and the original tunneling rate and Hawking temperature are obtained. Based on the generalized uncertainty principle, recent researches imply that the quantum gravity corrected the Dirac equation exactly. Hence, the corrected Dirac equation can express the tunneling behavior of fermions may be more suitable, and meanwhile, the corrected Hawking temperature of the Hořava–Lifshitz black hole is obtained. Comparing with previous results, we find that the Hawking temperature is not only related to the mass of black hole, but also related to the mass and energy of outgoing fermions. Finally, we inferred that the Hawking radiation would stop by the reason of the quantum gravity, and the remnant of the black hole exists naturally, also the singularity of the black hole is avoided.

Using the Dirac method, we study the Hamiltonian consistency for three field theories. First, we study the electrodynamics a la Hořava and we show that this system is consistent for an arbitrary dynamical exponent z. Second, we study a Lifshitz type electrodynamics, which was proposed by Alexandre and Mavromatos [Phys. Rev. D 84, 105013 (2011)]. For this latter system we found that the canonical momentum and the electrical field are related through a Proca type Green function, however this system is consistent. In addition, we show that the anisotropic Yang–Mills theory with dynamical exponent z = 2 is consistent. Finally, we study a generalized anisotropic Yang–Mills theory and we show that this system is consistent too.

CP violation in neutrino interactions is described by three phases contained in Pontecorvo–Maki–Nakagawa–Sakata mixing matrix (U_PMNS). We argue that the phenomenologically consistent result of the Dirac CP violation can be obtained if U_PMNS is constructed along bipair neutrino mixing scheme, namely, requiring that |U₁₂| = |U₃₂| and |U₂₂| = |U₂₃| (case 1) and |U₁₂| = |U₂₂| and |U₃₂| = |U₃₃| (case 2), where U_ij stands for the i × j matrix element of U_PMNS. As a result, the solar, atmospheric and reactor neutrino mixing angles θ₁₂, θ₂₃ and θ₁₃, respectively, are correlated to satisfy cos 2θ₁₂ = sin² θ₂₃ - tan² θ₁₃ (case 1) or cos 2θ₁₂ = cos² θ₂₃ - tan² θ₁₃ (case 2). Furthermore, if Dirac CP violation is observed to be maximal, θ₂₃ is determined by θ₁₃ to be: (case 1) or (case 2). For the case of non-maximal Dirac CP violation, we perform numerical computation to show relations between the CP-violating Dirac phase and the mixing angles.

The lattice gauge theory (LGT) for curved spacetime is formulated. A discretized action is derived for both gluon and quark fields which reduces to the generally covariant form in the continuum limit. Using the Wilson action, it is shown analytically that for a general curved spacetime background, two propagating gluons are always color-confined. The fermion-doubling problem is discussed in the specific case of Friedman–Robertson–Walker (FRW) metric. Last, we discussed possible future numerical implementation of lattice QCD in curved spacetime.

In this paper the Z₂-decomposition of the bosonic Fock space and the projection operators for each subspace are considered. Using these, we obtain two kinds of step operators obeying trilinear relation which resembles the parafermion algebra. The Z₂-decomposition of the parafermionic Fock space is also investigated and a new kind of finite-dimensional algebra obeying the trilinear relation which resembles the parafermion algebra of order p. Finally, the modified Pauli matrices and the modified spin algebra are introduced from the Z₂-decomposition of the parafermionic Fock space.
