In this paper, we present recent development in semi-classical description of static properties of nuclei. By employing the Wigner transform, we derive simple semiclassical approximations for evaluating properties of nuclear system. We present results of calculations of static properties, using the energy density functional associated with Skyrme effective nucleon–nucleon interaction. In particular, we consider properties of the Wigner distribution function, line of beta stability, Coulomb and symmetry energies, deformation energies, equation of state, nuclear radii, and single-particle level density.

The 331 model with right-handed neutrinos is reassessed to investigate the CP violation in the quark sector. After the spontaneous symmetry breaking, the masses and physical fields of the particle content are obtained. The fermions content of the 331 model is enlarged to include exotic quarks with known electric charge and with masses defined at the TeV scale. The existence of these exotic quarks induces extra CP violations via couplings with quarks of the Standard Model mediated by charged gauge boson with mass fixed at the TeV scale. An extra discrete ${\mathbb{Z}}_2$ symmetry is introduced in the 331 model to get a stable scalar field that can be a candidate to the dark matter content. The new scalar field interacts at the tree level with the $Z^{\prime }$ gauge boson that works as a dark matter portal. The relic density associated with the scalar field is calculated to yield the solution mass that satisfies the observed dark matter. The region allowed on the parameter space of the dark matter mass versus $Z^{\prime }$ mass is obtained to include the bounds of PANDAX2017, XENON1T(2t.y) and LUX experiments.

In this paper, production of charmonium state ${𝒬}$ in exclusive $W\to {𝒬}{D}_s^{(\ast )}$ decays is analyzed in the framework of both leading order Non-relativistic Quantum Chromodynamics (NRQCD) and light-cone (LC) expansion models. Analytical and numerical predictions for the branching fractions of these decays in both the approaches are given. The typical value of the branching fractions is $\sim$$10^{-11}$ and it turns out that the LC results are significantly larger than NRQCD ones (approximately two or four times increase depending on the quantum numbers of the final particles), so the effect of internal quark motion should be taken into account. Some rough estimates of color-octet contributions are presented and it is shown that these contributions could be comparable with color-singlet results.

We investigate and quantify bipartite and tripartite entanglement measures in two- and three-flavor neutrino oscillations. The bipartite entanglement is analogous to the entanglement swapping resulting from a beam splitter in quantum optics. We calculate various entanglement measures, such as the concurrence, negativity, and three-tangle for the three-neutrino system. The significant result is that a monogamy inequality in terms of negativity leads to a residual entanglement, implying genuine tripartite entanglement in the three-neutrino system. We establish an analogy of the three-neutrino state with a generalized W-state class in quantum optics.

KNO scaling was put forward by Koba, Nielsen, and Olesen (KNO) in 1972. Although it is an important tool for explaining multiplicity distributions and formulated for the asymptotic energies, it has been applied at a finite energy range where its formulation is not self-consistent. A consistent generalization, known as KNO-G scaling, was done by Golokhvastov in 1977 to make it self-consistent. Then, KNO-G scaling has been successfully applied in many experiments and its validity has been reported. In this study, KNO-G scaling is tested in neutrino interactions. The charged hadron multiplicity of CHORUS, OPERA, NOMAD and DONUT, which are neutrino experiments, is compared and tested the KNO-G scaling. It is observed that neutrino data are consistent with KNO-G scaling. A fit is superimposed on the data sets and fit parameters are compared.

The generalized Duffin–Kemmer–Petiau (DKP) oscillator with electromagnetic interactions in the curved spacetimes is investigated. We introduce firstly the generalized DKP oscillator in Som–Raychaudhuri spacetime with Cornell potential. Then, we consider the electromagnetic interactions into the generalized DKP oscillator. The energy eigenvalues and eigenfunction of our problem are obtained. The effects from the parameters of spacetime, the frequency of oscillator, the Cornell potential and the magnetic flux on the energy eigenvalues have been analyzed. We find an analog effect for the bound states from the Aharonov–Bohm effect in our considered system.

We study dynamics of local quantum uncertainty (LQU) for a system of two cavities and two reservoirs. In the start, the cavities are treated as two qubits which are quantum correlated with each other, whereas reservoirs (also qubits) are neither correlated with each other nor with cavities. We answer two main questions in this work. First, how local quantum uncertainty decays from two quantum correlated cavities and grows among reservoirs. The second question is the examination of LQU developed among four qubits and also shed some light on its dynamics. We observe that LQU develops among reservoirs as kind of mirror image to its decay from cavities. For four qubits, we propose how to compute LQU such that the method is intuitive and analytically computable. We find that among four qubits, LQU starts growing from zero to some maximum value and then decays again to zero as the asymptotic state of cavities is completely transferred to reservoirs. We suggest the experimental setup to implement our results.

We consider a generalized multi-photon interaction of two collectively two-level atoms with two-mode of electromagnetic field in the presence of Kerr medium and intensity-dependent coupling. We show that this atomic system possesses supersymmetric structure. We solved this system by virtue of supersymmetric unitary transformation. The supersymmetric generators of this atomic system are constructed. The diagonalization of the corresponding Hamiltonian is performed by introducing a supersymmetric unitary transformation. Accordingly, the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian of the atomic system are obtained. The time evolution of the atom–field wave functions is derived in an exact form for two cases of the initial states of the atoms and the field modes. Some quantum effects such as the second-order correlation function, cross-correlation, purity and Husimi Q-function are investigated. The effects of the Kerr medium, detuning parameter, intensity-dependent coupling and multi-photon transition on the evolution of these quantum effects are examined. We conclude that the supersymmetric unitary transformation method is very simple and can be applied to a variety of atomic systems which possess a supersymmetric structure.

With the development of quantum computing, the application of it to image processing has lots of advantages compared to classical image processing. In this paper, we propose a scheme to extract the interest point in quantum images. Interest point is a kind of feature point which can help to identify the target object in the image. Our scheme is based on the idea of Luminance Contrast (LC) algorithm. The scheme computes the absolute value of gray level differences between a pixel and the others, and then adds all these differences together. The sum is defined as a saliency. After computing the saliency of every pixel, we label the pixels with the maximal saliency as the interest points. The algorithm has pretty good performance and its time complexity is much better than the classical algorithm in same conditions, which provides a new idea for the extraction of image interest point.
