A novel derivation of Feynman’s sum-over-histories construction of the quantum propagator using the groupoidal description of Schwinger picture of Quantum Mechanics is presented. It is shown that such construction corresponds to the GNS representation of a natural family of states called Dirac–Feynman–Schwinger (DFS) states. Such states are obtained from a q-Lagrangian function $\ell$ on the groupoid of configurations of the system. The groupoid of histories of the system is constructed and the q-Lagrangian $\ell$ allows us to define a DFS state on the algebra of the groupoid. The particular instance of the groupoid of pairs of a Riemannian manifold serves to illustrate Feynman’s original derivation of the propagator for a point particle described by a classical Lagrangian L.

As an intriguing topological defect, global monopole’s influence on behaviors of black holes has always been anticipated but still remains obscure. Analyzing the thermodynamics of charged Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black hole incorporating a global monopole manifests that the black hole undergoes a Van der Waals-like first-order phase transition near the critical point. This paper concentrates on further investigating the transition, aiming at clarifying how the global monopole affects the criticality and microstructure of the charged AdS black holes. As a highlight, this research is implemented by employing new state parameters other than (T, P, V) description and contributes to deeper understanding the rich critical phenomena and phase structure of black holes.

A new compact stars nonsingular model is presented with the generalized Bardeen–Hayward mass function. Generalized Bardeen–Hayward described the regular black hole, however, due to its regularity or nonsingular nature we were inspired to construct an anisotropic compact stars model. Along with the ansatz mass function, we coupled it with a linear equation of state (EoS) to find the solutions of field equations. Indeed, the new solutions are physically viable in all physical ground. The energy conditions and Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff (TOV)-equation are well satisfied signifying that the mass distribution is physically possible and at equilibrium. Also, the static stability criterion, the causality condition and Abreu’s stability condition hold good and therefore configurations are physically static stable. The same condition is further supported by the condition that the adiabatic index, which is greater than the Newtonian limit, i.e. ${\mathrm{\Gamma }}_r(r)>4/3$. It is also noticed that the bag constant $B_g$ is proportional to the surface density in our model.

We consider a four-level double V-type atom with two closely-separated top levels and two closely-separated lower levels interacting with a single mode field via multi-photon processes and in the presence of Kerr medium. We show that this atomic system possesses supersymmetric structure and construct its supersymmetric generators. We diagonalize the Hamiltonian of this system using supersymmetric unitary transformation and obtain the corresponding eigenstates and eigenvalues. The atom–field wave functions are obtained when the atom and the field mode are initially in two different cases. The evolution of both the quasi-probability distribution Q-function and the Mandel Q-parameter of the field are studied when the input field is in a coherent state. The influence of the Kerr medium and the detuning parameters on the behavior of these quantum effects is analyzed. The results show that they play a prominent role on the Poissonian statistics of the field. Also, the Kerr medium changes the behavior of the quasi-probability distribution Q-function. We end with discussion and conclusions.

In this study, we have discussed the implications of acceleration in quantum mechanics by means of a generalized derivative operator (GDO). A new Schrödinger equation is obtained which depends on the reduced Compton wavelength of the particle. We have discussed its implications in quantum mechanics for different types of potentials mainly the infinite wall potential, the gravitational linear field potential, the Cornell potential and the Coulomb repulsive potential. The corresponding wave functions and discrete energies are modified and differ from the results obtained in the conventional formalism. The major results obtained concerned the large improvement of the ground energy of the electron subject to the gravitational acceleration in addition to Cornell potential and the emergence of quantized electric charge in the theory without including Dirac monopoles or using gauge theories.

Usual uniformly accelerated frame, in Dray–’t Hooft spacetime, does not see the any quantum imprint on Unruh effect due to localized shock wave in Minkowski spacetime. Here, we argue that such non-appearance of quantum memory is specific to those particular observers which do not incorporate the presence of wave in their trajectory. In fact, a detector, associated with a frame which is affected by the shock, cannot be trivial in terms of its response. We explicitly show that the later type of frame detects particle in the shock wave Minkowski vacuum which is the effect of shock. Therefore, this quantum memory is very special to specific class of observers as far as Dray–’t Hooft spacetime is concerned. We analyze for a null like trajectory along which the detector is moving.

Many protocols of quantum dialogue are based on the assumption that the user is legitimate. In fact, the assumption is ideal. Therefore, it is necessary to identify whether the user is legitimate or not. In this paper, by adding identity authentication, a quantum dialogue protocol is proposed based on four-particle entangled states. For preparing the entangled state, we first give the description of the preparation process and draw the diagram of the prepared quantum circuit. Next, the nonlocal correlation properties of the entangled state are investigated. By associating identity authentication with channel security detection, the consumption of quantum resources is reduced to a certain extent. Furthermore, a random number r and a one-way hash function are added to increase the security of the protocol. In the end, compared with other protocols, our protocol has an improvement in efficiency.
