This research focuses on exploring the dynamics of a cosmos model under the influence of Ricci dark energy within the framework of modified Lyra geometry. The modified field equations of Einstein for Lyra’s geometry are introduced, and specific solutions are obtained for a Big Rip cosmos scenario. Additionally, various physical and geometrical aspects of the cosmos are comprehensively investigated and discussed.

We examine the basic matrix equation for a spin-2 field in spherical coordinates and a tetrad of Minkowski spacetime. The technique of Wigner D-functions is used to separate the variables. The operators of energy, the square and the third projection of the total angular momentum, and the space reflection operators are then diagonalized on the solutions. The separation of the variables is done, the problem reduces to 11 radial second-order differential equations for 11 variables related to the scalar and symmetric tensors. We then consider the case of a massless field. The four gauge solutions for the massless spin-2 field have been found in explicit form. These gauge solutions do not contribute to physically observable quantities such as the energy–momentum tensor. They are derived according to Pauli–Fierz theory from four independent spherical solutions for a spin-1 massless particle. We have also constructed two types of solutions, related to opposite parities, which are not the gauge solutions. These solutions describe physically observable states with spherical symmetry for the spin-2 massless field.

This study uses the modified Sardar sub-equation method to find novel soliton solutions to the nonlinear three-component coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE), which is used for pulse propagation in nonlinear optical fibers. Multi-component NLSE equations are widely used because they can represent a wide range of complex observable systems and more dynamic patterns of localized wave solutions. The optical solutions proposed in this study are novel and can be described using hyperbolic, trigonometric, and exponential functions. These solutions are categorized as bright, dark, singular, combo bright-singular, and periodic solutions. Some solutions’ dynamic behaviors are demonstrated by selecting appropriate physical parameter values. The results and computational analysis indicate that the techniques provided are simple, effective, and adaptable. They can be applied to a variety of nonlinear evolution equations, whether stable or unstable, and can be used in fields such as mathematics, mathematical physics, and applied sciences.

One of the key factors of space weather is solar flare activity, the monitoring and prediction of which is an important task of specialized dedicated groups of space experts and solar astronomers. Solar flare forecasts are based on identifying and detecting the so-called precursors, specific processes in solar activity events that occur before flares. Collecting data for space weather analysis and prediction comes down to several types of measurements performed by more than a dozen spacecraft. Ground-based observations and monitoring nowadays are becoming more or less complimentary. One of the reasons for this is the limitation of observation time with ground-based telescopes due to adverse Earth weather conditions. However, solar radio astronomy is immune to almost any weather activity, and the main question here is what new quality it can bring. Observational data accumulated in the 20th century show that solar radio bursts can be associated with flare activity. In addition, the existing network of solar radio telescopes is already well established. As an example, in this paper, we describe the possibilities of a fully steerable 32-meter radio telescope of Ventspils International Radio Astronomy Centre (VIRAC), Latvia, which can be useful for searching for new precursors of solar flares.

While two highly intensive laser beams collide, they create a region where the refractive index varies so quickly that photons are created. The variance of the refractive index is analog to the universe scale factor variance. Therefore, this laser system can be an analog to the expansion of the universe. We find that several hundreds of photons can be created under feasible conditions. This system can demonstrate the particle creation during inflation or other similar periods.

General theory of relativity can be equivalently formulated on a flat spacetime associating a torsion-free affine connection of non-vanishing non-metricity scalar Q. In this paper, we present an extension of this, viz., the $f(Q)$ theory of gravity, and explore the early evolution of the universe in the background of anisotropic Bianchi-I model. The $f(Q)$ theory in the current setting through its geometric modification is quite successful in explaining the late time accelerated expansion. Here, we note that it accommodates latest released constraints on the inflationary parameters by Planck’s collaboration group with excellent precession, but fails to produce a viable decelerated expansion in the radiation dominated era.

The interplay between adiabatic cooling and isothermal ordering is analyzed to rebut the proof of the equivalence of the Nernst theorem and the heat capacity statement of the third law presented by Su and Chen.
