In this review, we discuss currents in celestial CFT and the consistency of their naïve symmetry algebras. In particular, we study in detail the Jacobi identity and the double residue condition for soft insertions, hard momentum space insertions, and hard celestial insertions. In the latter case, we introduce the notion of a “hard current” in CFT and work through examples in the 2D critical Ising model. The current algebra of hard insertions in pure Einstein gravity is a slight conceptual generalization of the familiar $w_{1+\infty }$-wedge current algebra. We also review branch cut terms in the celestial OPE, which indicate new primary content and were previously missed until recently. We work through an explicit toy example illustrating the mechanism by which such branch cut terms can arise. These branch cut terms prevent a symmetry interpretation but are fully compatible with a consistent OPE.

In this paper, we explore the impact of Barrow’s entropy on the topological classification of d-dimensional black holes (BHs). Specifically, we examine the Gauss–Bonnet (GB) and singly rotating Kerr black holes (KBHs) as well as their AdS counterparts. We notice that Barrow’s entropy significantly influences the topological numbers of these BHs. To understand these effects, we use the thermodynamic domain — the space defined by thermodynamic variables like temperature and pressure — to study topologically inspired defects in the BHs. These defects are points in the thermodynamic domain where singular or discontinuous behavior occurs. By computing the winding numbers of these defects, which are integers that count how many times a loop around the defect encircles the origin, we can understand the local and global topology of the BHs. Our analysis suggest that the topological number $(\mathcal{𝒯})$ derived from Barrow’s statistics differs from the one obtained using Gibbs–Boltzmann statistics. Furthermore, we observe that BHs can undergo topological phase transitions that characterize them in different thermodynamic topological classes. Overall, these findings demonstrate the importance of Barrow’s entropy in understanding the topological classification of BHs, and highlight the potential for further research in this area.

This study deals with the physical aspects of the gravitationally decoupled solutions under $f(\mathcal{ℛ})$ gravity scenario. In doing so, charged anisotropic matter composition is assumed as the parent (seed) source for the static spherically symmetric configuration. Commencing with the Kuchowicz ansatz for the charged static parent matter formation, we establish the Karmarkar condition to thoroughly address the deformed functions and the gravitational aspects of the compact spheres. Besides these, null-complexity and isotropized conditions will enforce to grasp the system’s stability by the inclusion of charge and $\mathcal{ℛ}+\varpi {\mathcal{ℛ}}^2$ factors through graphical trends.

In noncommutative phase space (NCPS), we investigate the pair creation rate for the problem of scalar and spinorial particles emerging from a vacuum under the influence of uniform external electromagnetic fields using the Schwinger formal technique. It is demonstrated that under specific conditions, where the speed of light c approaches the Fermi velocity ${\upsilon }_F$ and $\bar{\omega }\to {\omega }_c∕2$ (with ${\omega }_c=\frac{|e|\mathcal{ℬ}}{mc}$ representing the cyclotron frequency), the behavior of the Dirac oscillator problem in a uniform electromagnetic field within NCPS is akin to the monolayer graphene problem in NCPS. In addition, the production probability per unit volume per unit time is discussed, along with the limits of parameter deformations.

We explore a cosmological model inspired by the modified Kaniadakis entropy and disclose the influences of the modified Friedmann equations on the evolution of the Universe. We find that in modified Kaniadakis cosmology with only pressure-less matter, one can reproduce the accelerated Universe without invoking any kind of dark energy. We delve into the evolution of the Universe during the radiation-dominated era as well. We also investigate the behavior of the scale factor and the deceleration parameter for a multiple-component Universe consisting of pressure-less matter and a cosmological constant/dark energy. Interestingly enough, the predicted age of the Universe in the modified Kaniadakis cosmology becomes larger compared to the standard cosmology which may alleviate the age problem. Furthermore, the findings reveal that in the modified Kaniadakis cosmology, the transition from a decelerated phase to an accelerated Universe occurs at higher redshifts compared to the standard cosmology. These results shed light on the potential implications of incorporating Kaniadakis entropy into cosmological models and provide valuable insights into the behavior of the Universe in different cosmological scenarios. Moreover, they emphasize the crucial role of modifications to the geometry component and the significance of such modifications in understanding the dynamics of the Universe.

The proposition that photon is a topological object [S. C. Tiwari, J. Math. Phys. 49, 032303 (2008)] is given rigorous foundation based on pure vector field theory independent of the electromagnetic fields. Holomorphy of 4-dimensional spacetime and the nature of topological obstructions are investigated to articulate singular vortex model for photon. The utility of the Euclidean symmetry group is discussed in detail for the proposed photon model.

This paper examines the behavior of the universe around the bouncing point in the background of $f(\mathcal{𝒬},\mathcal{𝒯})$ theory, where $\mathcal{𝒬}$ is the non-metricity and $\mathcal{𝒯}$ is the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. We derive the field equations that describe gravitational phenomena in the existence of non-metricity and matter source terms. By applying the reconstruction method for the Hubble parameter, a phenomenon of the bouncing universe for homogeneous spacetime filled with perfect fluid is studied. We consider specific models of this modified theory to evaluate the behavior of various cosmic parameters such as the Hubble, deceleration, equation of state and fluid parameters. When the null energy condition is violated, it follows a bouncing behavior. It is found that spacetime is composed of isotropic fluid, where a big bounce can occur and the universe turns into extremely unstable. We conclude that $f(\mathcal{𝒬},\mathcal{𝒯})$ gravity successfully explains the early and late time cosmic expansion and evolution.

Using the observed flat galactic rotation curve feature and taking into account the presence of anisotropic dark matter with a Hernquist density profile, the space-time geometry of the halo region in galaxies is derived. The gravitational field inside the halo is attractive in nature, and the resultant space-time is flat. We find that our solution affirms the existence of stable circular orbits in the dark halo region. The expression for the equation of state parameter indicates that the matter within the dark halo is non-exotic in nature. An analysis is also conducted on several other aspects of the solution.

This study entails the effect of time on particle dynamics (both charged and uncharged) in the surrounding of the Reissner–Nordström AdS black hole in light of a general time conformal factor by acquiring Noether symmetry relation using the Lagrangian of the considered black hole spacetime. Upon acquiring the required time conformal spacetime as well as the Noether and approximated Noether symmetries along with their respective laws of conservation, the study further aims at investigating different parameters, like effective potential, effective force, and trajectories of escape velocity for the particle dynamics of the specified black hole. Additionally, in order to investigate orbit stability, the study employs the Lyapunov exponent.

This work deals with a cosmological model consisting of cold dark matter and dark energy without any interaction. The study has been done both at the background level and at the perturbative level for the homogeneous and isotropic FLRW spacetime. By suitable transformation of the variables, the cosmic evolution equations are converted into an autonomous system. A discrete dynamical system analysis has been employed for cosmic inferences.
