In this review, the quantum transport of nitrogen-doped metallic carbon nanotubes under magnetic field are explored. An accurate modeling of chemical disorder effects is derived from ab initio calculations. General properties for low bias Landauer conductance are investigated in the coherent regime, which enlighten the strong interplay between band structure and quantum interference effects. Characteristic transport length scales such as the elastic mean free path and localization length are extracted from phenomenological laws as well as scaling features with nanotube radius and doping level. The statistical analysis of conductance properties allow us to study the transition between weak and strong localization regimes.

In the present note, we consider the annihilation and creation operators with complex friction coefficient and we find the coherent, squeezed states, the uncertainty Heisenberg relation and the behavior of the PT and, CPT symmetries. Also we demonstrated that the (CK) Hamiltonian is a special case of the complex time-dependent mass.

We presented fluorescence spectra and cathode-luminescence spectra of as-prepared porous silicon under different preparation conditions. The luminescence of porous silicon may be related to the luminescent centers on porous silicon surface. The luminescent efficiency depended on the porosity of porous silicon, which further depended on the oxidative level of porous silicon with metal assistance. Under back illumination, the higher the oxidative degree of the metal is, the higher is the porosity and the luminescent efficiency of porous silicon. But under front illumination, the results exhibited an opposite tendency, which can be explained by the formation theory of PS.

This paper studies the dynamical behavior of the Newton–Leipnik system and its trajectory-transformation control problem to multiple attractors. A simple linear state feedback controller for the Newton–Leipnik system based on the Lyapunov stability theory and applying the inverse optimal control method is designed. We stabilize asymptotically the chaotic attractors to unstable equilibriums of the system, so that the transformation of one attractor to another for the trajectory of the Newton–Leipnik system is realized. Theoretical analyses and numerical simulations both indicate the effectiveness of the controller. At last, the inverse optimal control method is proven effective for the chaotic systems with multiple attractors by the example on the unified chaotic system.

The rate of energy exchange via dynamically screened electron–electron interaction in a two-dimensional and quasi two-dimensional semiconductor is described analytically for the situation where the electron gas obeys classical statistics and is therefore applicable to many cases involving hot-electrons. It is shown that the interaction is resonantly enhanced by coupled-phonon–plasmon mode effects. The magnitudes of energy and momentum exchange rates in GaAs suggest that in cases where optical phonon scattering is not dominant, hot-electron transport will be describable in terms of drifted Maxwellian distribution. Even where optical-phonon scattering is dominant, the coupled phonon–plasmon mode enhancement of the electron–electron energy exchange rate offers substantial contribution.

We consider the teleportation of quantum information consisting of the quantum state of a set S₁ of N two-level systems (TLSs), using EPR entangled state consisting of set S₂⊕S₃ where set S₂ has M TLSs and set S₃ has N TLSs. The Bell state measurement is done on set S₁⊕S₂ and a unitary transformation, dependent on this result, on the quantum state of set S₃ generates a replica of the original state of set S₁. We show rigorously that the teleportation is possible only if M ≥ N.

Single crystals of para Nitroaniline (pNA), an organic nonlinear optical (NLO) material, have been grown by slow solvent evaporation technique at room temperature. Good optical quality single crystals with dimensions of up to 10 × 11 × 3 mm³ have been grown by adopting the above technique, and good quality single crystals were obtained. The grown single crystals were subjected to different characterization analyses. The lattice dimensions have been determined from the powder X-ray diffraction analysis. Its functional groups and optical behavior have been identified from the FTIR and UV-Vis. analyses respectively. The thermal stability of the crystal has been analyzed by thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal (DT) analyses respectively.
