The new energy industry gains more and more attention since the problem of resource scarcity and utilization of the renewable energy has become a global highlight issue. In this paper, we propose a new load forecasting model under the development of new energy industry by choosing the typical wind power as the key subject, which is also an important reference for other energy industries. The wind power load forecasting model is built based on optimized combination, which is forecasted and analyzed by the time series, the Markov and the gray forecasting models individually, and then combined by the optimized weighting coefficients. The method has overcome the limitations of poor adaptability of the single forecasting models and come out with an ideal result. Experimental results show our method has better performance compared with other related algorithms in different datasets.

Sneak current issue of RRAM-based crossbar array is one of the biggest hindrances for high-density memory application. The integration of an addition selector to each cell is one of the most familiar solutions to avoid this undesired cross-talk issue, and resistive switching parameters would affect on the storage density. This paper investigates the potential impact of different resistive switching parameters on crossbar arrays with one-diode one-resistor (1D1R) and one-selector one-resistor (1S1R) architectures. Results indicate that 1S1R architecture is a more scalable technology for high-density crossbar array than 1D1R, and the storage density of 1D1R- and 1S1R-based crossbar array shows little dependence on resistance values of high-resistance state and low-resistance state, which gives a guideline for choosing appropriate selectors for RRAM crossbar array with specific parameters.

Experimental investigations on heat transfer of RP-3 kerosene at supercritical pressures are conducted in this paper. It is found that there are three regimes, namely common heat transfer, enhanced heat transfer and deteriorated heat transfer. Variations of thermal properties are responsible for common heat transfer. Turbulence is the main reason for enhanced heat transfer. Cracking reactions are attributed to deteriorated heat transfer. Parametric studies show that heat flux has little effects on heat transfer of RP-3 at supercritical pressures while mass flow rate plays a positive role. Influence of pressure is complicated, related to thermal property variations. A new correlation for heat transfer of RP-3 flowing in miniature tube at supercritical pressure is proposed.

Utilizing the Hirota bilinear method, the lump solutions, the interaction solutions with the lump and the stripe solitons, the breathers and the rogue waves for a (3+1)-dimensional Kudryashov–Sinelshchikov equation are constructed. Two types of interaction solutions between the lumps and the stripe solitons are exhibited. Some different breathers are given by choosing special parameters in the expressions of the solitons. Through a long wave limit of breathers, the lumps and rogue waves are derived.

In this paper, some new traveling wave solutions to the resonant nonlinear Schrödinger’s equation (R-NLSE) with time-dependent coefficients are constructed. The well-known auxiliary equation method is applied to develop numerous interesting classes of nonlinearities, namely the Kerr law and parabolic law. Such approach provides an extensive mathematical tool to develop a family of traveling wave solutions such as bright, dark, singular and optical solutions to the nonlinear evolution model. Moreover, with the aid of symbolic computation the three-dimensional plot and contour plot have been carried out to demonstrate the dynamical behavior of the nonlinear complex model.

With the development of IC manufacturing process, the device dimensions have been on the nanoscale, while the device performance, such as the electron velocity, mobility and thermal noise, is significantly affected by the hot carrier effect. This paper proposes an electron temperature model to accurately predict the hot carrier effect. The channel transverse electric field is firstly derived by using the channel electric potential equation, taking into account the boundary conditions of the electric field. Based on the electric field equation, the energy balance equation is solved involving the impact of the temperature gradient and then the electron temperature model is established. The impact of the electron temperature on the channel mobility and of temperature gradient on the electron velocity has also been investigated. The results show that when the device enters the nanoscale, the electron mobility is more susceptible to the influence of the electric field and the electron temperature, and the impact of the temperature gradient on the velocity becomes obviously greater. The electron temperature model proposed in this paper can be applied to the performance analysis and modeling of nanosized MOSFETs.

With the development of data processing technology, complex network theory has been widely applied in many areas. Meanwhile, as one of the essential parts of network science, community detection is becoming more and more important for analyzing and visualizing the real world. Specially, signed network is a kind of graph which can more truly and efficiently reflect the reality, however, the study of community detection on signed network is still rare. In this paper, we propose a new agglomerative algorithm based on the modularity optimization for community detection on signed networks. The proposed model utilizes a new data structure called community adjacency list in signed (CALS) networks to improve the efficiency. Successive modularity computations make the connections between node changes so that the process time leads to substantial savings. Experiments on both real and artificial networks verify the accuracy and efficiency of this method, which is suitable for the application on large-scale networks.

Acoustic vortex beam, which carries the orbital angular momentum, has attracted great interest in recent years. In this paper, we propose a novel curved impedance-matched metasurface constructed with tunable units, which are filled with mixed gases with different refractive indices. It converts an acoustic point source to vortex beam with nearly unity transmittance in a broad frequency bandwidth. By arranging the units, we demonstrate topological charge modulation and rotated direction shifting for acoustic vortex beams. In addition, combining with phase superposition effect, we introduce double curved metasurfaces model. A vortex beam can transform into another vortex beam with different energy flows conveniently. The proposed methods open up an effective avenue for tailoring acoustic vortex fields and provide possibility for applications such as particles trapping, acoustic communication and biomedical engineering.

By utilizing the logarithmic transformation and symbolic computation with ansatz functions technique, W-shaped rational solitons are obtained for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation with anti-cubic nonlinearity. Meanwhile, the interaction between rational solitons and the kink wave is also investigated.

This research paper extracts novel analytical and semi-analytical wave solutions of the longitudinal wave equation in a magneto-electro-elastic circular rod by using the modified Khater method as one of the most novel and general computational methods and the Adomian decomposition method as a semi-analytical method. The longitudinal waves in metallic thin films are explained for the first time by Nilsson and Lindau, who used the visual evidence. They noted subdued anomalies in the ports of thin ($\cong$100 Å) Ag layers deposited on amorphous silica for p-polarized light at frequencies padlock to the dynamic plasma frequency. These properties are studied by our two suggested methods and are explained by sketching some of our obtained solutions. Moreover, the stability property is tested for our obtained solutions by using the features of the Hamiltonian system. The performance of our used methods shows the power and effectiveness of these methods and their ability to apply on many different forms of nonlinear partial differential equations.

One of the most remarkable features of surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) is their usefulness for sensing. In this paper, we introduce a spoof SPP sensor consisting of a transmission line with a rectangular groove array. We investigated its dispersion relation and verified the broadband transmission characteristics of its SPP mode. A sensing model with spoof SPPs has been developed and a prototype fabricated. Three analytes with different permittivity were introduced into the model and prototype — edible oil, glycerol, and water — and the results compared to those obtained with air. The results of simulation and measurement show that the sensor is extremely sensitive to the permittivity of a liquid. The results indicate that spoof SPP sensors have important potential applications in industrial processing, food safety, and environmental monitoring.

Hysteresis effect, which has a significant impact on transient characteristics of a pump-turbine, attracts more and more researchers’ attention and shows great potential. Influences of hysteresis on dynamic characteristics of a pump-turbine are investigated during the transient process in this paper. Transient trajectories of pump-turbines actually do not match their static operation trajectories, especially in the condition of turbine braking. In order to establish a transient model of a pump-turbine in different moving directions of dynamic trajectories, time delays among the relative parameters are introduced in this paper. Furthermore, effects of hysteresis on the dynamic characteristics of the pump-turbine are analyzed in detail by using numerical simulation. Based on the established transient model, influences of unit head on the dynamic characteristics of the pump-turbine are studied during the bidirectional transient process. The simulation results show the transient characteristic of the pump-turbine can be improved with the enhancement of hysteresis effect. While it gradually loses stability with the increase of hysteresis. The conclusions provide us a new approach for regulating the transient performance and stability of pump-turbines by using hysteresis effect during transient process.

The ’t Hooft–Polyakov monopole solution in Yang–Mills theory is given new physical interpretation in the geometric theory of defects. It describes solids with continuous distribution of dislocations and disclinations. The corresponding densities of Burgers and Frank vectors are computed. It means that the ’t Hooft–Polyakov monopole can be seen, probably, in solids.

The electronic structures and optical properties of pure ZnO and IIIA group elements Al-, Ga- and In-doped wurtzite ZnO are studied by using first-principles plane density of states pseudopotential method based on the density functional theory. Considering the difference between doped and undoped situation, the band structure, total/partial wave density and dielectric function, refractive index, reflectivity, absorption spectrum and loss function are investigated. The results show that all the three doped elements transform the pure ZnO into $n$-type direct band gap semiconductor materials, and the band gap becomes smaller and smaller with the enhancement of the gold property of the doped elements. In addition, it is found by comparison that Al doping has the highest conductivity. In the visible light region, Ga-doped ZnO has a good transmittance and is an ideal transparent conductive material. In-doped ZnO has higher absorption rate and emission rate, and has a great application prospect in ultraviolet protection. The results have a positive reference value for IIIA main group elements in ZnO doping design.
