When dealing with the classical limit of two quantum mechanical oscillators on a noncommutative configuration space, the limits corresponding to the removal of configuration-space noncommutativity and position-momentum noncommutativity do not commute. We address this behaviour from the point of view of the phase-space localisation properties of the Wigner functions of coherent states under the two limits.

We consider a quantum stochastic evolution in continuous time defined by the quantum stochastic differential equation of Hudson and Parthasarathy. On one side, such an evolution can also be defined by a standard Schrödinger equation with a singular and unbounded Hamiltonian operator K. On the other side, such an evolution can also be obtained as a limit from Hamiltonian repeated interactions in discrete time. We study how the structure of the Hamiltonian K emerges in the limit from repeated to continuous interactions. We present results in the case of 1-dimensional multiplicity and system spaces, where calculations can be explicitly performed, and the proper formulation of the problem can be discussed.

We investigate the influence of photon excitations on quantum correlations in tripartite Glauber coherent states of Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger type (GHZ-type). The pairwise correlations are measured by means of the entropy-based quantum discord. We also analyze the monogamy property of quantum discord in this class of tripartite states in terms of the strength of Glauber coherent states and the photon excitation order.

In this paper we study quasi quantum quadratic operators (QQO) acting on the algebra of $2\times 2$ matrices ${𝕄}_2(ℂ)$. We consider two kinds of quasi QQO the corresponding quadratic operator maps from the unit circle into the sphere and from the sphere into the unit circle, respectively. In our early paper we have defined a q-purity of quasi QQO. This notion is equivalent to the invariance of the unit sphere in ${ℝ}^3$. But to check this condition, in general, is tricky. Therefore, it would be better to find weaker conditions to check the q-purity. One of the main results of this paper is to provide a criterion of q-purity of quasi QQO in terms of the unit circles. Moreover, we are able to classify all possible kinds of quadratic operators which can produce q-pure quasi QQO. We think that such result will allow one to check whether a given mapping is a pure channel or not. This finding suggests us to study such a class of nonpositive mappings. Correspondingly, the complement of this class will be of potential interest for physicist since this set contains all completely positive mappings.

We consider a generalization of the entropy of a process — the conditional g-entropy of a process introduced by de Paly. We show that this quantity can be used to detect the process determinicity. Moreover, we give an effective formula for the introduced measure for ergodic processes defined on the full shift.

To decide whether a quantum channel is degradable is relatively easy: one has to find at least one example of a degrading quantum channel. But in general, no conclusive criterion exists to show the opposite. Using elementary methods we derive a necessary and sufficient condition to decide under what circumstances the conclusion is unambiguous. The findings lead to an extension of the antidegradability region for qubit and qutrit transpose depolarizing channels. In the qubit case we reproduce the known results for the class of qubit depolarizing channels (due to their equivalence). One of the consequences is that the optimal qubit and qutrit asymmetric cloners possess a single-letter quantum capacity formula. We also investigate the ramifications of the criterion for the search of exclusively conjugate degradable channels.
