Electrical Machine Theory Through Finite Element Analysis cover

The finite element method is becoming increasingly important for electrical engineers. Moreover, the availability of user-friendly tools allows non-expert users to analyse in detail the magnetic field. In particular, a new didactic approach can be proposed for introducing electrical machine theory.

This book puts forward an approach to the theory of electrical machines by means of finite element analysis. The basic idea is to provide the student with a wide set of solved problems in order to obtain a more “visual” approach to the magnetic field. The basic machine structures are discussed and comparisons with analytic solutions are made.
