    Abstract:

    This article presents an overview of the teaching of mathematics in Honduras throughout history. It tries to capture the events, personalities and institutions that have set standards in the conceptualization of mathematics and its teaching, recognizing turning points, demands and challenges of mathematics education in Honduras.
