    Abstract:

The water droplets motion and trapping in single-channel of corrugated plate gas-liquid separator is studied by using the commercial software, Fluent 14.5. The performance of two types of streamlined plates is evaluated by adjusting gas velocity and transverse pitch. The results show that high gas velocity and narrow transverse pitch is helpful to improve the efficiency but also with relative high pressure drop. The streamlined plates with hook have higher separation efficiency to the small droplets than the plates without hook. Final results of numerical analysis can guide the practical applications in industrial processes.
